I just got my movie fast packs from Valk-Exchange (Thanks !) and yes they fit on the series one. If the holes are there on the arms and legs then by all means they'll go on the comic-con one. They also come with new backpack tabs that require you to remove the olds ones. These are quite nice, but they make the series one backpack heavy like the 1/48's with fast packs. (Oh well, back to working on my custom fast packs for the low-vis 1/100 I made.

Thanks... was sending a PM since I already had a 1/60 v2.0 on pre-order from them. I wish they were more available in other store like TRU, but I guess that won't happen until the "Robotech" live-action movie gets made. Sigh, now if Toynami would release their GBP-1 quickly...
-
It was more of a guesstimate, I went to the store to see what he had in stock. The item by itself was ~$13 and shipping ~$9. I'd really like multiples of the DYRL fastpacks for the series 1...was just wondering if there was a "buy a 3 pack" option.
-
Is there no "buy the whole set" option? $20 apiece seems steep compared to picking up the full set from BBTS with shipping. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get the movie set w/ my purchase from tmpanime, as I was thinking of customizing it for my series 1 customs. sigh... maybe they'll release a 3 pack of just of movie sets.
-
Series 3 is still Hikky 1S and Roy along with the Cannon Fodder. Series 4, aka. the Fast/Strike Packs, was supposed to be the weapon packs for the 1Js along with an extra movie set. Maybe Series 5 will be 2 movie packs and 2 TV packs ????
-
Booo... Toynazi. Apparently they removed the Movie Weapons from the 4pack Weapon set. "NOTE: This set does NOT include the Movie Edition Weapon set. This set was removed by Toynami from this set and sold separately. " And here I was hoping that I'd have an extra FastPack set to customize for my 1/100 LowVis I made.

Still looks like they're glued on some plastic from this pic of sdcc 2007 .
-
You sir are correct, as I found old photos . Looks like all they did was glue them to some clear plastic. Oddly they way they're packaged in the boxes, they appear to be arranged in the same order as the plastic. Maybe Toynami is pulling a fast one and was finishing the boxes back in 2006 and was just deciding on when to release them.

I have to wonder if these are the same fastpack display pieces they used back when they were first introducing the 1/100's. I hope the final versions of the Max and Milia fastpacks have colored leg armor.
-
I'll second that. W.A. you should take more photos of it and post it to the "missing customs" link.

I saw several re-issue Bandai Cannon Fodders for $30 (US) in Sham Shui Po area of Hong Kong, when I was there. I think it was near the Golden Computer Center

I think someone stated that the Banpresto's were 1/144...there's a comparison shot somewhere on this board, though I don't remember where. I would say the Toynami's are much better than the Banpresto's, as the Banpresto's are floppy and fall apart real easily. Series 1 of Toynami isn't as good a Series 2 in terms of joint stiffness and the grade of plastic used in the toy. Are they good...well, that all depends on who you talk to. They make a nice cheep small toy, good for customizations or displaying at work, etc. Are they worth $20 - $30 dollars...no way, though if you can find them for around $15 they're good. The 1A's are by far the best looking ones as the 1S has a Jay Leno chin and the 1J's have giraffe necks. Browse back some pages, and there's some reviews in this thread. 2 of my 3 customs. The Low Vis is on the main Customs page.

Looks like a Toynami 1/100. That's my guess based on the raised heat shield. He probably got a 1/100 Roy and made it a custom Max, since the only Max's they've put out are a 1A and 1J.
-
With the Series 3 of the 1/100 coming up, I decided to make a custom of the Roy from series 1. Here's a 1/100 Wolf Squadron VF-1S I also finally remembered to take some photos of the 1/100 Woodland Camo VF-1A used in my avatar.

yes, I made the LV2 from the 1/100's. I also made a LV1 that's pictured in the 1/100 customs gallery. Sadly I haven't had the time to take some pictures of the LV2 for posting there too. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/m...ustoms-1100.htm

Well, Toynami finally responded to my inquiry about updates to the 1/100 line. They basically said they can't provide any information at this moment in time. Damn...I just want some Fast Packs / Strike Armor.
-
Maybe we should all write letters to Toynami Corp and see how they respond. They responded to the bad ball joint issues, albit slowly, so maybe if enough of us complain they might actually do something right. I really hope they release the FP's soon, I need them to finish my custom Low-Vis and Camo 1A's.

Interestingly enough, both the 1s and 1j have the exact same neck size. The 1s just has an elongated chin so it hides the neck. If the 1j had the same neck base as the 1a it would have definitely been a lot less fugly. I guess toynami just took the 1s mold and plopped a new head on it along w/ packaging and new heat shield.

Say hello to my little friends: [attachmentid=39270] Just got my VF-1J's, so here's a group picture in battroid mode of all of them. Here's another shot of just the camo one. [attachmentid=39271]

Thanks! Still brush painting them and not disassembling them. I'm not heavy into the customization or model painting, so i don't have an airbrush. It's all about layering and applying paint liberally. Thankfully I also have a small enough brush to get under those nooks and crannies. These things are so small too, I figure the minuet detail of the strokes wouldn't be as noticeable as on a 1/48.

so nightmare... what kit(s) you using to make fast packs for those things? I noticed your blue roses one now on the 1/100 customs page. Hehehe...gotta get some fast packs for my low-viz and have the pics reposted.
-
Wow, for $33 + shipping {~9 to GA} they're almost good enough to buy for customs. It's too bad I bought all of mine separately. As soon as the 1/100 hikaru gets here, i'm gonna paint it in a low-vis v2. camo scheme. Maybe I'll pick up a few more for work. *Decisions, decisions, decisions...* Anyone try taking a 1/100 GPB-1 kit and bashing it w/ the toynami's?
