If we are talking abt the exact replica of the vf-11 armor as in M7, then its gonna be bandai. If Fext does anything, it wont be the exact replica of the M7 armor, else they want to be on bandai's hit list. Fext Hobby armors are not directly macross related but more fan inspired.

My experience with AJ was there is literally nothing on top of the AJ box to stop it from collapsing in. I found it funny they took care of the bottom shrink wrap and cardboard but didn’t care to protect the top from caving in. AJ box fillers are practically empty and cannot compare to the amount jp online retailers add in.

That’s normal for Amazon. That’s why I prefer the regular online retailers like ami, hlj etc which would tend to put some extra padding/effort into packing. If I can help it of course. I had my macross designer notes book from amazon japan arrive to me with one of the corners wet and slightly torn open where u could peek in. Fortunately the book was untouched inside. My every other purchases from amazon were as crumpled as well. However, very seldom from the Japanese online retailers.

I had a roy in my HLJ cart too. Though there was a new batch of roy available, It still showed out of stock based on the old order. So i removed the old roy order from my cart and re-ordered.

Roy was purposely left out of the cockpit, because by the time the supers made their appearances in episode 24 (goodbye girl), hikaru had effectively taken over skull leader. In that episode the 1S with supers was codenamed booby duck. This is why @Ignacio Ocamica highlighted that using the roy to display the iconic pairing of the supers and 1S was not as per TV macross. And for bandai to go all the trouble of being TV accurate. Perhaps there will be another skull leader valk that would fully represent booby duck? My only question is would that valk have hikaru's name or be a nameless valk. In the goodbye girl episode, capt global mentioned to shammy to get hikaru to pilot it. Would he need to say that if hikaru was already the pilot?

For that price, one would think there would be after sales part replacement services. funny story, after i clicked on the link and saw optimus, i tot, say that's a steal of a price for that size and detail. Was calculating the exchange rate, when i noticed the price was only for a pre-order booking. oh well....

Something makes me believe you would get 3 1/35 roys. And put one on a center throne surrounded by smaller valks. No shortage of lineart for valk internals, so a macross ultimetal style with open hatches could work. Bandai needs to put some effort into that, seeing how they missed the boat on the 1/48 Super and strike part internals. Open hatched valk certainly would be a shelf presence on its own, and bandai could sell another range of hangar parts for diorama.

who needs the actual roy DX with these around. This is another way of securing a roy VF-1s. Be interesting to see how the yellow of the upcoming roy DX fits in with these! Further if these customs still retained hikaru’s name on the canopy side, it could also represent the booby duck vf-1s in the goodbye girl episode! nice! edit: *tho the point of whether the booby duck valk in ep24 was already assigned to hikaru or not is debatable perhaps?*
