Of course I did. I passed on getting one of UrbanTreasureHunter's cels. Another Rook one. I decided to get the VF-31C, some other stuff, and wait for the Mospeada items next year. But UrbanTreasureHunter has yet to get a cel that I really want. I did meet another collector that purchased from UrbanTreasureHunter that's why I know some stuff about their auctions. And triple is nothing compared to what that Viviere Rook cel is priced at. And they don't seem open to offers going by their auction setup. But perhaps I will ask and see. The price is so insulting to start that I doubt they will offer down to $100 which is where it should be maximum.

I don't know why these turned out so so and the other Japanese anime properties from Prime 1 like Evangelion and Guyver turned out really good. I hope the delay on Ghost in the Shell means they are making something that we haven't seen before.

I searched my files for that Rook cel and this Viviere seller on ebay is in the same league as UrbanTreasureHunter if not worse. I noted on the file name that the same, if not similar, Rook cel sold for 4400 Yen. Today that's basically $40. So Viviere marked this up by $330! Give me a break. This guy is flipper central. At least UrbanTreasureHunter puts his cels on sale for 25% off and even goes lower via offers. Add in Viviere's negative feedback and other instances that I see when going over their feedback that's more than a year old. And you have a seller I won't deal with unless they get something really good.

Both original Dracula X and Symphony of the Night. And a good soundtrack mode but you have to find the tracks in the games. There are a few I'm still trying to get since you have to use gameplay tricks.

I still own the TurboDuo Dracula X. I think it's the best Castlevania game. It was one of those $100 import games from back in the 90s. Gradius I think II was another. And there might have been one more Konami game that I can't remember. I probably didn't get that one though. I did play the recent PSP update but I still think the original is better. And I hated the twist of the remake. I was tempted to toss my PSP because of that.

Any of you guys deal with Viviere on ebay before? They might be another flipper. They have a few Macross cels and other anime items up as well. One negative feedback from a buyer says they were "deceived" so I'm not jumping to deal with them.

I guess that image means we are getting a red version. At least I might get this and a small version of Rook's cyclone.

Someone around here wanted that version. It's way too expensive and I think missing landing gear. It might be delicate too. There were a bunch of posts about it. But you would think with the Blu-ray release some company would have announced something by now. Unless it's just a matter of scheduling and we are playing the waiting game.

Ouch on the price. I think there is probably more value in getting the light up cockpit speaker for display. I know some want a big display but I would go for a transformable valkyrie as well over this version. People on the Statue Forum are talking about possible variants too. If that happens the price / rarity thing isn't going to work out for Prime 1. Maybe it's me but I would have gone with a simple design of Rick & Lisa or Minmay in the open cockpit and have the valkryie just hovering over the water. That would speak more to the overall theme of Macross. Or if you wanted an action pose do the Rick saves Minmay scene.

I would go to an ebay seller before I used Nippon Yasan. There are a few others in Japan that get exclusives but I haven't tried them out yet. Normally I stick with Amiami and 1999. Mostly 1999 now because they have the shipping price built in unlike Amiami where you have to wait for the price to confirm the order.

Robotech Visual Archive 2017: The Macross Saga

But and here is my disclaimer as they say sometimes. I like Robotech and have only watched the original Macross once. And still haven't watched the original Southern Cross or Mospeada completely yet. Anyone have the Robotech Art 1 book around and their Japanese Macross artbooks to compare the quality and overlap? I have Robotech Art 1, 2, and 3 boxed away somewhere. But I think with Amazon discounts I might pick up these Visual Archives when they finish the ones for the Robotech Masters and New Generation. Maybe by the time these are finished they will have a Robotech Blu-ray available and then I'll be finished with Harmony Gold. -

I wish they made Ramrod. There is only the old toy as far as I'm aware. I would guess they would want to make other robots just to make them even if they won't be big sellers. There are only so many recolors they can make. Eventually they have to get to some robots that haven't been made. I see they have a limited and SPEC line. Surely Dangaio, Mighty Orbots, and Ramrod could work into those categories. Mazinger must be really popular in Japan though. I counted 17 or so on the Soul of Chogokin wiki.

I guess I should read over the topic more. I got confused and only thought there was one version. And these repaints. In any case, these are better than the small kit I had from the early 90s.

That's what I'm wondering. I just want Dangaio, Mighty Orbots, and Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs Ramrod. If they need money they can do the re-release of Voltron. I remember this one as Tranzor Z. The best part about this robot to me was the small plane on top. I didn't like the robot design that much. I think it was that odd almost armored knight like gated mouth. I remember there was a female robot that had missiles for breasts in that anime. It was a strange show. Something about that and I think a live action Japanese show called Spectreman scared me. I was probably too young to look at either of them. But I'm going to look at them again one day.

I I thought I could get over the color but I couldn't. I didn't like the color of the base either. Nor that she needs a stand near her knee. I'll get a bunny girl one day.

I remember owning one of the old kits of this valkyrie. It gave me fits but I think that was the only toy available back then. I think it even transformed but was very fragile. I put up with it as it was a put together toy unlike that Cyclone that came assembled and always seemed to crumble apart. This new version looks pretty good. Maybe I'll watch Macross II again one day to see if I like the show enough now to get a modern version of the toy.

It is a good one. I have the domestic and Japanese vol 2 release. I keep them next to my complete Macross CD set.

I don't understand why Amazon wouldn't just wait for the next restock since it will continue production till next year. I don't know about bootleg SNES games. I would assume sticking to domestic sellers would be a good start though. Maybe trying to get complete versions with boxes. I'm more interested in the Contra statue from HMO that I hope they will get around to making. Even though Contra is a good game and has potential, there is no way a movie version will be better than the movies that influenced it.
