  1. I put that in the topic here. There was a preview for Free Comic Book Day a while ago.
  2. I still need to play Silpheed on Xbox. I still have the original on Sega CD though. I might need to get that ship too.
  3. I think many of the old fan sites that would do that sort of thing are gone which is a shame. This site originally had all the scans of various Macross books. But I don't even check the front page anymore. I think people now gravitate towards the retail sites like Amazon for reviews and many times those aren't that good. I assume there are Facebook anime groups with reviews but I'm not on Facebook. I only hear about people talking about groups all the time. There is a chat thing that people were talking about on MyFigureCollection. I can't remember the name right now. Perhaps reviews are there? I check this site on occasion but like Parkablogs it's hit and miss on anime books. http://halcyonrealms.com/ I guess it's lucky that I'm not crazy for many anime series these days so I don't need books for them. And the old books I'll just search ebay, Mandarake, and Yahoo Japan to see what was available. Perhaps start a topic here to see if anyone has them.
  4. They would make crazy detailed statues. There is a good drawing of the one with Linna in the B-Club book. But they are probably a no go. Only on screen for seconds. I thought that hover plane from Crash was pretty good. But I want to watch that again to know for sure. I know I didn't like Crash any where near as much as Crisis.
  5. I thought it was just a disguise watching it as a kid. And he did go after Sera. I probably didn't hear many cross dresser jokes until later in movies like Crocodile Dundee, The Golden Child, and Coming to America. So the whole disguise wasn't a big deal. I saw those as well late on VHS and not in the theaters. Some of those Yellow Dancer episodes are still some of the best in the series. That New York one is pretty good. Really. Probably too early to know for sure? The fighter mode looks good. As long as it doesn't have that beached look is fine for me. I'll get one for fighter mode and that other non-transforming version that looks good.
  6. Thanks, I'll have to watch out for R-Type and Thunderforce now. I'll probably want ships from parts 2, 3, and 5. I remember drawing the cover for part 2 in art class. Part 3 was fun. That fire stage was intense back then. Part 5 has that awesome level when you blast off into space with the booster packs. I have to get part 6 soon but I believe I have to import that one. That's probably why I never got it. I think I never played part 4 either yet. I know it had a different name.
  7. Is it really drag as it was a disguise and he was a good singer? I still hope they or some company are considering normal clothes versions of these characters since we are getting the whole group now. Perhaps that will be next after they release Lancer and Rook?
  8. If the Motoslave doesn't transform then I don't see why they wouldn't release a Highway Star. And even if the Motoslave does transform, you still have a figure that should be able to work for a Highway Star. They could even do a more limited production. So that's more sales any way they look at it. The ones that I would be surprised to see them make are the bigger armors from the end of Episode 6.
  9. Thanks for the details on those DYRL game cels. I might try to get the Hikaru one someday if it turns up.
  10. Those lights are awesome. Thanks for the video.
  11. For those that don't check the Figma topic, this was just previewed. I can't wait. Hopefully we get the Highway Star as well.
  12. Finally. It's almost like Christmas. Now they just need to release Rook and Lancer. I'm in for both of them. And more attempts at the Alpha is always a good thing after the disappointing last version.
  13. Finally. Thanks for that. So many of the usual sites I used to check like Plastikitty stopped posting. I guess you guys were right about the delay between announcement and seeing prototypes. Now for the Mospeada and Dirty Pair figures. Bike mode and the figure look really good. If they make the Highway Star for the figure I wouldn't mind if it didn't transform. But I do want it to transform if it's solid. I saw that R-Type too. I was going to search MFC later to see who makes it. My interest in R-Type was renewed with this video I posted in the Retro games topic a while ago. Who is making the Thunderforce ships? I would like a few of those. I still need to play the last game in the series.
  14. Arcadia Garland looks awesome. I don't need the truck but it's a nice option to have. If they get to Part 3 it should be quality.
  15. I'll watch to see what variants they bring out. Even though this is the opening valkyrie, I just don't need a version of it.
  16. I glued an old toy once because I just wanted a display of the character. But after a while it just bugged me that I had to glue a transformable toy. That the company couldn't make a good toy that would stand well and not fall apart.
  17. Two more days till Comic Con preview night. I can't wait to see what new Hot Toys and other figures show up.
  18. I can't remember if it was posted but does anyone have those Macross limited reproduction cels from the opening of the old Sega Saturn game? There was one of Hikaru from pretty much this shot. Also one of Minmay from I assume the ending, I haven't played the game in a while. And also do you know how / where those were sold originally? I think they were sold framed but I can't remember. I'm pretty sure they came with some kind of numbered certificate. Thanks.
  19. I can't get that figure for that price after seeing the review. Seeing it collapse reminds me of old bad toys that I sold. I really want an E=X Garland in bike mode too. But having to put the engine in and then see those side and underneath attachments come apart so easily is just not good at all. And for the price without an Eve figure, I don't know where they got that price from. Arcadia has to try one after all the different Garlands they are making. At least I hope they try.
  20. I couldn't believe the look of that last Gatchaman series. I still haven't attempted to watch it.
  21. I'll see how Wipeout is when I play the new VR version. Ace Combat 2 is a good game. I've only passed up a few games in that series. I think I sold or traded the original game. Many of those original Playstation games were rough. I know I don't have Toshinden and a few others anymore either.
  22. Someone made a tracking site. Perhaps it was posted here. I know I saved the link somewhere.
  23. Really? I sold or traded Wipeout on the original Playstation. The design and music was kind of good but I hated the feel of the game and how your car would just come to a dead stop if it hit a wall. I do want to try the VR Wipeout though. But SNES and Gamecube F-Zero can't be touched for me. If I could list my top racing games those F-Zero titles would be there along with OutRun, Daytona USA, Mario Kart SNES, and Sega Rally. Perhaps a few others. I have a fondness for Super Hang-On but I haven't played that in a while. I'm going to try it in 3D on the 3DS soon. But I listen to the arranged tracks a lot.
  24. Hot Toys would be too expensive but I'm hoping for Kotobukiya to make them. If they can make GI Joe then they can make Gatchaman. Here is another piece of art without the pantie shot.
  25. F-Zero on the GameCube alone is worth it. After all these years, that is still probably the best futuristic racing game.
