Price hasn't moved on that Crash cel. Either there are lurkers waiting till the last minute or people think that price is enough for a Crash cel. We'll see in a few hours.

I didn't know that but the bikes were the main point of the show for me as well. I know I didn't start the show from the first episode. That was a pattern with me and most cartoons. I think it was either the Separate Ways episode or the 3rd episode on the abandoned island. That 3rd episode was another reason I was upset about the old toy. Scott jumping around buildings in the Cyclone was so cool and I wanted that toy. When the toy kept crumbling I was disgusted. As a kid I thought the toy should be sturdy enough to behave like in the cartoon. But that whole travel feel of Mospeada / New Generation is what made the show for me. Being on the bikes and going from location to location. Getting into different adventures and situations.

I was going to read the manga afterwards I think. Usually I check the wiki on series and start from the beginning. I might see the anime first.

Yeah there are a lot of bootlegs of those original kits. We should get new painted figures for the Knight Sabers. Or at least Priss. They made like 3 or 4 good kits of her plus the one figure which I believe was just a not for sale prototype. Those all seem to be from Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Unless it's a scene from the opening or something notable, I don't think cels from that series go for that much. But I've only watched the first handful of episodes or so. Still, I think it's the original Bubblegum Crisis that most are after. Of course the big pan cels can go for a lot from a series like Crash and since it's from Animeigo. The cel is almost at $250 now with time to go till Thursday. I wouldn't be surprised to see it double.

I remember the Xperia Play. I thought it was a bit of a cop out. I wanted a Sony cellphone because back then people were talking about the sales of games on iPhones and other phones. I thought why not make an official Vita cellphone or Nintendo one for that matter. And make real portable video games. Not just games that happen to be portable versions of console games. Or games that are time passers. I guess that's why I get so few portable games. Because most are better on console and portable versions have gimmicks that usually I'm not too fond of. I think for long trips in an airplane a portable with headphones would be fine. But just playing and really enjoying a game like a Hotel Dusk, Kokuga, or other title like the new Metroid. You would want to be plugged into a power source and stereo so you get full brightness without burning out the battery and to enjoy the music. I guess that's why Ridge Racer 2 on PSP seems to be almost the same game as Ridge Racer 1 PSP. I'm about to take Ridge Racer 2 off my list. I just want to watch a few more videos.

Thanks. I wonder if this will be it now for the lineup?

Yeah I was looking for more specifics on the paint and quality control. If the paint is sloppy or something.

I remember being disappointed with Sony in that they didn't make the Vita a cellphone when it was released. I wonder if portable video game consoles are about to end though. I think I only played the original Gameboy as a true portable system. Everything else I've used as a small home system. Even with something like Hotel Dusk, unless you are using headphones, the sound on the 3DS is pretty poor compared to even TV speakers.

I'm surprised they didn't recolor the Lion Voltron. But the re-release was expected. I hope people didn't pay the crazy aftermarket price. I'm still hoping for a Voltron in the action line that is more anime accurate. The car Voltron isn't for me. I had the old one. I think I still have a few pieces like the head and chest ship. But I hated how unstable that toy was with the truck feet.

I know we have a Bubblegum Crisis toys topic. And I started one about the recent Blu-ray direct release. I thought I would start this one about random Bubblegum Crisis or Crash stuff that people come across. I found this last night being auctioned off by the Animeigo owner. People might remember I made a big deal about him selling a fairly average cel for the original Bubblegum Crisis Kickstarter. I believe it was a cel of Largo. Yet he had this Priss cel framed behind him in the Kickstarter promo video. He's kind of sneaky about the listing too. I only found it because I was looking at completed sold auctions for various anime series. I came across an interesting cel lot and wanted to see what else the seller was selling and found it. He listed it as "Bubblegum Crash 3 - Huge Framed Pan Setup w/Drawing." No Priss, cel, douga, genga, or sketch. So if you weren't just searching Bubblegum Crash items you would miss it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bubblegum-Crash-3-Huge-Framed-Pan-Setup-w-Drawing/223392445506 The auction ends next Thursday. Too bad I can't go after it myself. Toys and a few other purchases took my extra money.

That's dedication to get all three of them. What are the issues with Roy's version?

I don't need a PlayStation TV immediately. I just noticed that Vita production was going to end this year and was considering my options. Especially since there are so few games that I want on the system. It seems like every Vita game has a PS4 version.

Thanks I didn't know that. The Vita limited edition is still nice to own. They came out with good packages for all of the portable Ys games on PSP and Vita. But I'll just get it again on PS4. Good. I guess it's a PlayStation TV for just Corpse Party. I don't think I've ever purchased a console for only one game.

I guess that's it. I checked and didn't save the image myself. Unless it's still in my unsorted area. Whichever option gives us the best fighter and robot mode is fine for me. If I have to I'll get a separate non-transforming robot that will be closer to the anime.

I was looking for Priss too. They are really slow on Figma releases from announcement, to concept, to prototype, to painted version, to release. Or at least they are to me since this is the first time I've wanted a Figma figure.

Lancer looks awesome. Disappointed that Rook wasn't there. But the excitement for the line isn't making me worried. The Alpha looks pretty good too. Was the non-transforming Alpha there?

That was quick shipping. Love those lights.

She does. But I'm not into the figure modding hobby that much. This is probably the best painted Minmay I've seen. She could use more detail. I do love that Flashback short and song. She's not on MFC yet. I hope she's not a one off.

No lag? I'm only going to play Ys Celceta and Corpse Party on Vita or PlayStation TV. That's my level of excitement for the system. I have the games already because they had limited editions. And those older niche titles can get expensive when they sell out. I would prefer to play them on TV. The 3DS might be the end of portable gaming for me. I still have a few games to get and finish on that system. I'm playing Hotel Dusk now.

I never read the manga but just saw the Prime 1 Studio statue which looks beautiful and I'm hoping the movie is good. I'll get the manga collection afterwards regardless.

For some reason I didn't like Lunar 2 as much as the original. I remember beating the original over a weekend. And it was a fun RPG. I'll play both again when I get my vintage setup going. Anyone have both a PS Vita and PlayStation TV? How are the graphics on Vita games on modern displays? And I heard there is lag on some titles on the PlayStation TV, is that true? I have a few Vita games. Many titles received PS3 / PS4 upgrades. But I read that the Vita is going to go out of production this year. I usually wait till the last model to get handheld systems. But it looks like I waited too long on the PlayStation TV as they don't make that anymore and I'll have to pay premium.

I think there is one TV episode where Hikaru or Max are wearing shirts with their numbers. Perhaps standing on the deck of the SDF-1. I know Hikaru has a number shirt in DRYL. I was thinking of the following elements: 1. Small UN Spacy logo 2. Small Skull Squadron logo I was probably thinking small so they could go on each shoulder. Max or Hikaru number option. I don't know if it should be big like in DRYL. Or perhaps a version with the number in big on the back and the UN Spacy logo like a Star Trek badge on the left front. Skull Squadron logos on the shoulders. The numbers can be Hikaru Red and Max Blue colors too. I think I have idea notes written down somewhere. I know I wanted something like this and a Gatchaman number shirt like they wore in the TV show.
