  1. Episode went by pretty quick. I thought I was only halfway thru when the credits ran.
  2. I think this is the same one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUr452RXJgw Lol. While everyone is preparing for zombies, this guy is preparing for titans.
  3. No worries... I didn't think you meant any disrespect. I just wanted to make sure the requests he made were stated somewhere. I think if you wanted to do something like that, maybe have it framed already without the glass and then bring the book or whatever source you got the scan from. As long as your presentation doesn't make it look like you downloaded the image from the web, he'd be pleased that you want a framed picture of his work in your house. Like I said, he seems pretty cool and relaxed. But we also have to understand that he'll be protective over all the properties he represents, not just Macross but Gundam and Space Battleship Yamato, etc. It's best to bring original merchandise though. He won't be bringing any merchandise unless it's just for presentation.
  4. "these are not very well made..." lol. Even Portlandia can't help but comment on the quality.
  5. Apha Fighter http://youtu.be/THOiHViysLY?t=2m9s
  6. Yes! We've received quite a few inquiries already! The person in charge of this is busy on the weekends preparing for his wife's baby shower. He'll respond to the emails during the week!
  7. hey before you get that done. Tenjin requested a few things. If it's Macross, it has to be official Macross items, no bootlegs, no reproductions. Actually, no non Big West Merchandise. In Japan you HAVE to buy the merchandise. He's being pretty cool about having people bring their own items. If it's non Macross, make sure it has something to do with Tenjin and his work. Also, no bootlegs, no reproductions. He's pretty excited about meeting American Macross fans and is doing a lot of extras for the con, let's try to be sensitive to what you're presenting to him. There will be people there to check out what you're getting signed before hand, but I don't want you guys to waste your time or money on things that'll get rejected. Also we'll have vendors that will be selling his work, such as Anime Books.
  8. Dit - to da -toe. Plus that close up movie poster shows that the suit is super rubbery... that's why it looks so much like a guy in suit.
  9. Hi everyone... Here's a special announcement. This has just been finalized so I'm posting ASAP. MWcon is hosting a special dinner with Tenjin as a special guest. This is a fundraising dinner and the cost is $150 per person. The dinner will be on October 4th, the night before the Convention at around 7pm in Redondo Beach. Space is very limited so if you want to be a part of this very intimate event, please email macrossworldconvention@gmail.com.
  10. Ap Chemistry bitch! lol. I liked This is the end. That Comedy Central Roast of James Franco was funny too.
  11. Good stuff!
  12. Mospeada's Back!!! Back at Alex's house.
  13. You mean the J right?
  14. Yeah it looks cool though... and the Enigma VF-1J in the far right.
  15. Kramer needed to call Saul! He can fix anything. It can go really bad or really well.
  16. I don't really criticize RT to make Macross look better, they don't really need that help. I just remember seeking RT stuff in the 80's and 90s and being disappointed at what I got. The novels, the videos they released and how hard it was to finish that collection. The sequels that never looked like they were up to par with what we got from the original three cartoons. With it's rich history coming from 3 different sources you'd think it would be a lot better. So it's not me cutting down other's interest... it's my interest that was cut down to obliteration. But you're right.... Kill it! Kill it with FIYAAA!!!
  17. If you only have a few items like that, I'd say sell it in the forums and arrange for pickup outside the con. From what I hear it was a mess last year because the rules were pretty lax and the few vendors were kinda annoyed because they paid to be there. We want to respect the vendors that we've invited this year especially because a lot of people that go to the cons are looking for them when they come. We finally found a place that allows this so let's try not to screw it up. But don't try and open up shop outside the con either, the city won't allow that. Those kinda things, like the food truck that is coming requires permits that has been paid for. Anyone selling merchandise in the vicinity has to be asked to leave. A place like this has to be paid for up front, hence why we're trying to raise a lot of funds. Plus the costs of having guests and all the supplies add up. Don't worry, we've got plenty of stuff set up to make it all worth it.
