Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in theaters April 4, 2014
EXO replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Good point on IM. I asked myself the same thing about hawkeye but at the same time I think falcon is about the same skill level as hawkeye but a little more useful with the wings and all. And with the whole "don't trust anyone in shield" mantra especially after NY I think they wanted to keep it to the circle that already proven themselves faithful at the moment. And I really did enjoy the Falcon. Don't know much about the character but the guy playing him played it really well. Hope to see him in more marvel movies.- 210 replies

This parody really addresses that problem... That's going to be a crutch of any superhero universe that accepts them living within the same world. I thought the same thing... otherwise I really enjoyed the film. I didn't like the first one at all and wasn't really expecting much this time. But from the beginning of the movie I already felt like it was on a different level. Plus some pretty good Itano Circus action... can't complain...- 210 replies

It would be. The only difference would be the canard just outside the intake but that's a piece that can be replaced easily on the S and A mold. But no part of the reactive armor connects to that mid leg piece above the knee and also as you can see on the line art posted, the intake covers are closed when the armor is on... but I can' t think of any other add ons to the zero except for the armor. The ghost goes completely on top of fighter mode only.
-
This is all so Renato can get replacement pieces for the one he broke! C-O-N... spiracy!
-
I feel like the indentations are too low for that armor and also there's indentations inside the intake covers. But then again what else could they be?

That gold tint an either be applied with a sheet of Hasegawa Gold Mirror finish http://www.mech9.com/blog/2009/10/how-to-use-hasegawa-mirroring-finish/ or some alclad metal finish paint http://alclad2.com/finishes/high-shine/ these are lacquers so you'll need a really good mask and an airbrush spray booth.

Those are revoltech joints I'm using as a place holder. I'll be using Hobby Base Joints with special mods. I'll post the mods on here. http://www.hlj.com/product/YLSPPC-T09 Tober... that's just a drawing!!! (For a sculpt I'm doing for a custom figure commission... ) I forgot about it, I didn't put it there on purpose.

You and me Acro... this is Davids... Hopefully I'll have the scratch if the Cap reissues this. This thing is awesome.

I placed a metal pin in between and I'll be filling the gap with 5 min epoxy or thick CA. The hip joint is also ball jointed.

I love both Sherlock Holmes also. I love that elementary is not a cheesy CSI type show with a chase at the end. The 2 shows differ in the fact that the BBC version is based on the books and the CBS version is all original plot. Did anyone see Community tonight? It was an animated GI Joe episode complete with commercials and knowing is half the battle PSA drawn 80's style.

I like it. The scaling of the weathering may be a bit off because it looks like a metal toy with some weight on it. maybe lighter colors with smaller specks (thinner paint on the weathering?) Otherwise it's really good if you're just learning how to AB.

That was 2012 that we didn't expect cosplayers but last year there was a good mix of female attendees and a lot more cosplayers. MWCon was built up around Macross kit bashers, toy customizers and model builders, so it was a boy's club type thing... but it just got bigger and bigger thru word of mouth. Last year was the first time we actually send out news packets to different outlets and thanks to places like ANN we had double the attendees we were expecting. It was a lot more crowded and stuffy than we planned for. This year we'll be adding extra floor space to give people some breathing room. Hopefully it doesn't double form last year. Listening to the last bit of the podcast as I type... started last night...

100% agree! I was surprised by the last one. I wish they would have gotten the same director. Now I'm kinda worried... trailer looks great though.

Those are all YF-19s prototypes. There should be larger images of them during the Wonder Fest posts.

How many images can you post? I think we fixed this before but the recent server update might have wiped it.
