This is all going up, I assure you. Just give me some money shots... pictures are awesome, just less clutter on the background. I know, it's picky but after posting on it for a while now, I can tell which type of images gets the most reach. Looking great BTW!!!

1/350 Scale thread... Mospeada, Southern Cross and more!

I understand. What I'm saying is, 1/600 will be too small because they want the smaller mechas such as the Iigas, Bioroids and Regults that goes in them too. It's actually an incredible project. But yes, I myself don't have space for the 1/350 sheldo...- 419 replies

I think it is Mike's kit but changed. They did the same to Captain's Launch Vehicle.

If more people bought those things. I'd be happy to smooth them down and have them recasted so there would be less work for everyone. That's partly why I created the FB page, so projects like that and Kurisamas will have more exposure. Especially Macross projects. I need really good pictures with great pixel count though guys!

Seems like they're making in scale type stuff... 1/600 is way too small.- 419 replies

The Ultra detail is usually 3 times more than the cheap WSF type. But you're saving yourself a whole lot of headache from all the sanding. If you buy the WSF version, I swear, you'd want to pay someone $50 just to sand it. Also remember this is still all new technology. This isn't over the counter pieces of plastic. The FUD material is actually a fraction of the cost from other places on the net for the detail it gives you. It's actually 3 times cheaper from other places. When sanding to get form, you should always use a backing material for the sanding paper. It's best to use nail filing sticks. If you use your hand and just the sand paper, the paper will curve over the lines you're trying to erase. Even on curved surfaces. The unreachable cracks and corners are just impossible to get to. Sandpaper by itself is only good for smoothing the actual texture of the surface or the paint. I bought these last year, they were $11 each at the time, totally worth it: 220/320 Grit : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006PQD1O/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 400/600 Grit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006PS3G2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sounds good Boinger... good timing too since the new series will be around the corner. Good luck!

Whew! I thought it was a 1/1000 VF-25!
-
Happy leg day! Looks great. Is the middle one the actual color?
-
Totally agree. I think as far as the VF-1 they got it right on the first v.2 valks.

Superhero movies will break down if you look at it under the microscope. When the filmmaker tries to explain too much that's when the movie suffers. I don't really want to know why Dr. Doom wears a mask, an metal suit and a cape. As long as he looks cool and the story works (Of course we saw the exact opposite in the F4 movies). Origins, which is basically the over analyzation of the character are probably the weakest part of superhero movies. This movie worked because we're beyond why Steve Rogers is Captain America and it's straight to the mission. Explaining the Falcon way to much would destroy what's really a great superhero movie. Skipping how they got the wings worked also, and the fact that they went after it shows that the few people they can trust really needed as much help as possible. Lastly, having him lose his wings proved that his usefulness in the sky did have its limitations. But he still managed to help after that.- 210 replies

Ouch... too soon... skull. Too soon... I gotta say this about 1/1 though... for years he was screaming for a v.2 VF-1 and everyone including me gave him a hard time. I actually changed my mind after one of his post and a couple years later Yamato announces the v.2... I mean it isn't gonna happen in this case but... lol.
