The most important thing to start with on a project like this is a good photograph. Try taking a sharper pic with more resolution. The second thing is to get the right background. If you can find the background first before you take the pic then you can get the lighting right. Otherwise your depending on a little luck on having two seperate materials come together. Good luck... Add: If you look at the reissue boxes you'd see that those actually the toys with custom background.

Just remember, they did it with these characters: I'm not offering hope... just suggesting a small amount of possibilities.

bobe-pat, did you mean no bootlegs of the 1/100s? I used to have a bunch of those. $5 at the swap meet. Good quality too, but had those goofy guns. Before I ever heard of Macross or RT, so I didnt care about the guns.

I don't know what the dillema is... can't afford or don't like the 1/48? Then buy the 1/60s. Just be glad there's 2 scales instead of just one. If Bandai was still doing the 1/55s, everyone would be buying those as well and STILL bitching.

Thisd shot looks very anime-friendish... anime-friendly??? Anyway, like I said screens shots are less reliable because of animator error, but I don't recall seeing blue heatshields. Still looking for the wonderfest custom...

Though I like the look of the blue heat shield, IIRC the heatshield is white with a small white line with three sections going across it. Even the Wonderfest custom was like this and I could show you screen caps but those aren't always reliable.

The LAST macross item? That's kinda bittersweet. As much as I want it, I'm almost hoping it never gets released.

I know what you mean, but after a while I calmed down and decided to watch things on my own chosen rate. The good thing is no late fees. Like I said, free trial. You get to watch three of the DVDs at no cost.

looks like a TV flight suit with the collar out. mostly used in atmospheric flight, when they don't have the face plate and the visor on. Nice work...

Thanks to whoever posted that tip about the back piece. The armor set is awesome. I have one complaint, but it's not even enough to bitch about.

Do what I did, Jawjaw. Get a Netflix mambership and rent all of them. There's a free trial and you can cancel it at anytime, so you can cancel when your done with Eva or rent all the other animes you haven't seen. I'm barely watching Eva also and it's getting really good.
