  1. it's actually pretty good. Great coloring job. If that's your first then I can't wait for your later posts...
  2. That's my feeling as well. I don't think we'll find anything in English that says that DYRL? was originally conceived as a movie from the starting point. Here's another essay that Egan Loo had a helping hand in, so take from it what you will... I have highlighted the interesting parts in red so that it may help in this situation... source As you can see, it was suggested that the "bumping" of these 2 storylines may have happened at a later date, not at the time they were conceived. I believe that is what the argument was originally about. Not whether or not it's official. Interesting note, is the author of this essay a member in MW?...

The 1/48s are pretty sturdy, they seem fragile because of the weight but the plastic is durable. But like another member said, buy one if you have the cash. It's avg. of $140 + shipping. Not to mention you're going to want a Fast Pack if you do settle with this scale, that would be another avg. of $60 - $75 (+ or - shipping) If you get a Bandai, I suggest getting the Super 1/55, that comes with the Fast Pack otherwise get your favorite paint scheme or character's. The 1/60 gives you more of a variety for less price. They have the VF-1D, Ostrich and the Elint readily available. (I still see the VF-1D as readily available.) You can check out Graham's reviews: link Or Leb's site: link

Did someone say Appleseed? Cool. It looks like a cross between a Destroid and a Nousjadeul-Ger.
  5. To add, it doesn't say when the official timeline was written, so the Major's original point still remains unanswered.
  6. First of all, I can always respect JsArclight's point of view. His posts are always well thought out and well grounded and for the most part, I usually can agree with him. I also know what he means by sticking to his guns until proved otherwise, because we all here to gain better knowledge of something that we are all fans of, whether or not we take it seriously, casually or fanatically. There's always someone in a place like this who loves to shove the right answer in your face, for reasons unknown. Maybe it's to feel better about themselves, like I said... I have no idea. It would be cool if we can keep the arguments civil and informative, but hey...in the end... I don't really give a crap... Here's a an essay by Dave Deitrich in which Egan Loo helped straighten out about the Macross timeline. There's no direct quote from Kawamori or Chiba but I would guess if Egan Loo had a hand in it then it can be taken as source. timeline As you can see DYRL? is treated as an "entertainment documentary" made in 2031. And there's no mention of DYRL? as part of the official timeline. Conjecture or official, best thing anyone can do is email Egan Loo, who is always happy to help in cases like this. Though I don't know how many times he's received this email before...
  7. I think we should take it as a sign the fact that we broke the VEX forum that an OT forum is a bad idea. hmmm... Leb's is still up...
  8. LOL, Jesse... I was just making light of the situation. At least Kana... er... this hypothetical boy has 8 JMs to work on. I saw them on the shelves as a kid and now I'm kicking myself for some other toys instead... Who knew these little stubby suckers whould end up meaning so much?
  9. YOu can either putty up the rest of the neck or get another recast head. Check out Rob's site. He has bot the original and a resculpt whichlook a lot better. Deadzone, your member 666?
  10. as with any war...
  11. WDC, do you ink your work before or after it's scanned? If you do it after then what program do you use? tnx...
  12. I agree with everyone... but to reiterate a point (and I don't know where to look for this info, so If you can point it out to me I would greatly appreciate it...) that if both sides started with the same amount of people/ships then it would seem that the Meltrans were losing very slowly. Maybe if they never ran in to humans, then the Zentrans would have won in another... say... 20,000 years... it's a long time but so is 10,000 years.
  13. I say the old man hypothetic kick in the ass! No disrespect to the hypothetical sweet old man that was just looking out for his hypothitical kid, but if it was me he'd need a chemical solution to remove my foot from his rear.

LOL!!! With Max, it's never overkill. It's precise and decisive annihilation!!! Get to work Toonz!!! BTW, The Major's right, no FaST Packs on earth. So make sure you put this one in 0G!
  15. No prob, Sean... delete away!!! I put all mine into one folder for easy access, so chuck it when you have to.
  16. http://www.robsthingies.com ADD: Also, Yamato is going to release Hikaru's VF-1S soon, in case you're inerested in that instead.
  17. LOL, nice one. Maybe they should put it up at the Bandai Museum.
  18. That's exactly my point, but the original poster specifically said... Though Millia may be better than the avg. Meltran, it seemed that the Meltrans in general were able to hold up against the Zentrans with their limited numbers throughout their war. If there was anything that said that both sides were equal in number during the beginning of the war, then it would be evident that the male side was winning this scenario.
  19. Albert just got a new job drawing all day for a new film company... I'm sure he's miserable. His new job keeps him busy though I encouraged him to sneak a new Macross drawing in once and a while. Great job, WDC!

    Attack the VF-1!!!

    Attack the VF-1!!!

    ummm... Robert Smith!!! Final Answer!
  22. This would be a good thread for newbies to introduce themselves also, instead of the occasional 'Hi, I'm new here' threads...
  23. Ahhh... a very important point in history indeed... I still say you should draw some more!
  24. I think that the Zentraedis' strength laid in their numbers. That's why the war has gone on for so long. If the Meltrans were to equal them, they would have wiped them out in no time, assuming that they wouldn't be dumbed down by over cloning...
  25. I have no doubt the signal existed, just that maybe the Weyland Corp already knew of the downed craft and it's cargo...
