Hrmm... You are kind right, but WDC's art is way better than Ben Dunn's in my opinion. Dunn has a really generic looking style, way overrated i think. Awesome work as always WDC! Ben Dunn shouldn't even be considered as a manga artist. Just because you use big eyes and a lot of fanservice doesn't mean you're as good as the real ones. I hate looking at his computer consoles and mech. They look like standard 60's american comics with the Lost In Space blinking lights. I'm not saying that Americans can never be as good as their Japanese counterparts, there are some really good one that have the same flair and originality as the true manga artists. Joe Mad (that lazy f*ck), Dave Johnson, Travis Charest, Adam Hughes (you guys should see his manga stuff, their pretty rare but right on the money) and Even Alex Ross's paintings of the Gatchaman characters pays all lot of tribute to the original designers. Next to these guys, Ben Dunn wouldn't be able to stand...

Was "The Ring" a complete rip off of "Ringu" or was it directed/produced by the same people? That was an excelent movie. Is this along the same lines, if so, gotta have it It was an "Americanized" remake. Ummm... world domination thru the suffering and death of millions of others, all in the name of evil??? Maybe???

It's from the same makers of Ringu, as far as I've heard... and guess what? There's already a US version on the way...

If you are asking where this Landmate is from, I believe it's the Landmate from the first Appleseed book -- Denuan's first Guges, and coincidentally, the first Guges she would trash... LOL, I was talking about the toy... I believe the Guges represented by the toy is from the CG movie... but I haven't seen anything about the toy except for this picture.

Yes that was the first Vermillion Team Skirmish, and I don't believe Max referred any of his maneuvers to be named after Roy. (IIRC)

I love the GSC mangas... can't get enough of them. Better than most of the crap american comics can come up with. The OVAs started out great but changed gear in the middle with sub par animation. What a drag!

One word of warning, when you put the arms back together, make sure you put the elbow back on with the bigger hole facing the rear. I can see mines towards the front and I'm too lazy to switch it back...

Each scheme has a personality that was greatly imbued by the seres/movie. When you get the Skull Leader, what you are really buying is a Roy Focker action figure. You see his personality in the toy itself. You may also get the same character in different points of the series or movie. That's why people are buying the Hikaru 1S even thought they already have the 1A, and why people are crying out for the Max 1S. Unfortunately they haven't released one of my favorite characters/valks, which is the Max TV 1A which along with the Hikaru 1J represents the highpoint of the series for me. That's when Roy ruled the sky and vermillion team was still a whole (I'm not holding my breath for a Kakizake 1A). Another thing that's a dream for me would be a TV style Quadrono armor. I don't know if any of you guys collected He-Man and the MAsters Of the Universe action figures in the 80's. But it was almost the same thing. There were two sets of bodies at first and each one just had a different head and different armor, yet we were compelled to collect each one. Later on they added more variety but they were still essentialy the same.
