Oh BTW, if Michaelangelo was alive today, it wouldn't be up to him if he should repaint the Sistine chapel ceiling because he was comissioned by the Vatican, so I'm sure the Pope would have the final say. The same controversy happened a while back when they restored the paintings to it's original state bacause some parts had to be retouched by restoration artists. It seemed sacriligious at the time to let someone else's brush touch Michaelangelo's paintings, but I don't think anyone's bitching about it now. I don't know how that plays into your arguments but that's just the way it went... EDIT: contreversy/controversy - same thing...

Does any one know if the UN SPACY text on the side of the legs are suppose to be white or black? I'm assuming it's white but I just want to make sure... Anyone have a color guide to Max and Kakizake's TV 1A valks? Tnx...

I gotta agree with Hurin here. I think we give Lucas a lot of credit because, hell... HE'S LUCAS... Whether you like the new stuff or not, his products are a big part of many childhood. And a lot of what we enjoy today would not be possible if it wasn't for the man. But... as for not releasing the originals... say Big West would have went the way of the now defunct Artmic and total control was given to Tatsanuko and HG. Sure those 2 companies would not be obligated to release Macross in it's original form, but where would you side your outcry if they did refuse to release it?

I wanted to buy parts to upgrade my previous valks... newer nose cones, newer wings with flaps that don't fall off and fins that weren't crooked. Yes, I wanted to be part of the abuse... It seems kinda strange though because I had toys that were broken too, Like my new FP YF-21. I'm guessing that the orders were too overwhelming to the point that extending the staff or overtime hours was not a logical monetary solution (plus the abuse factor)...

The VF-1Js are coming up soon. I'm thinking for SDF series fans, this is the one we've been waiting for. Iconic scheme, TV style Hikaru... c'mon how can you not be excited? I'm also thinking this is the on that's going to be the on that people will customize for their Max/Kakizake TV 1A version. So if your buying, how many of each are you buying? Thanks...

What are you guys talking about? IIRC, The Hikaru 1A and the Roy 1S are being reissued because they are sold out. the Low-Viz is a limited version valk and is in great demand. The Fast Packs sold out and another run was made. That leaves the Max 1A. If anything I'd say it's the other scales that are suffering. I'm going to PM Monkey-N and see if he can correct me if I am wrong. This info I've gathered is from reading other threads on this board.... EDIT: OK.. I just reread the last two posts and you seem to be in agreement with me... I'll still double check with Rob...

After DYRL it seemed like they dropped the whole big hair thing... it was an 80's anime thing. I think Basara was the only one with big hair and he didn't wear a helmet. Isamu and Guld had manageable hair. Max had a ponytial and Gamlin had a Wolverine thing going. All the Mac0 guys have short hair, even Roy. Can't think of any with big hair.

Hey Pat, I just talked to Alex at F & S and he said they just rereleased these figures. For anyone that missed them the first time, you guys better jump on it this time. These things flew off the shelves, I remember Tamim started a poll wether he should sell them individually or not, and by the time there were votes on his thread they were sold out. I should know I bought 2 of the 5 boxes he had.

That problem didn't show up until the Roy's 1S came out along with the crooked skull, so the fact that you got a lemon doesn't reflect on the company that you eagerly jumped to give money to. I like the mushroom sequence. The snake part just blows in my opinion... While at first I agreed, after 20 minutes, I realized that the snake breaks up the monotony and actually becomes what makes lengthy viewings possible. The mushroom part is excellent, though, because it has no real relevance to anything else in the... um... film. A large snake might eat a small badger, or a large badger might eat a small snake, but neither would be interested in mushrooms. It's just there, as if being there validates its own existance. Brilliant. All in all, I think Funny Badgers is a genius work of art, and long for the release of a Special Edition Funny Badgers DVD. I think the snake is part of the Special Edition. The author thought that the monotony was too personal as it symbolized too much of his life only to have it amplified because the snake represented his former girlfriend. There's much too be said of his suffering for his art...
