It was OK.. a good watch but nothing to write home about.

It's rare that they have orthographics for Macross Valks. The Hasegawa VF-1 is one of the few but most of the time the lineart is isometric. And when you do find 2 to 3 views of a macross mech, they don't line up.

Can't go wrong with Smooth-On... They also have a mold putty that you can mix by hand. I was just suggesting cheaper material that you can get from hobby shops. Since you need over 30 pieces it's probably best for you to do more than one at once.

The easiest way to recast a small part like that is to use mold putty like kneadatite... also known as green stuff. You press the putty on each side to make a 2 part mold and then use the same putty to make the part. Use vaseline or talcum powder to keep parts separate. Look for kneadatite or green stuff putty tutorials on youtube for better instructions. If you want to spend a little bit more, there's this moldmaking substance called instant mold. It's like a waxy substance that you melt in hot water and press on the original part. You can use it over and over again for a while, and then use green stuff to make the part. Again, search youtube for a proper tutorial and you'll see what I mean. Good luck!

I think it's 20 for each event and unique item... so 2 colors might be a way to get 2 licenses for one event. If it doesn't sell out then they'll have to buy the license again for the next WF to sell the remainder. If it does sell out then there's a good chance of them getting the license again and making more. All depending on how quick it goes. Sometimes an item at WF sells out before everyone even gets thru the door. The question is... which crazy completist is going to buy one of each color? So far Macross products that will probably be at WF2014 Summer... YF-19 Frontier FPs Mini SDF-1 Tenjin Shoulder pads Metal Boy SD Regult ??? Basara guitar???

It aint gonna be cheap... remember these are the guys that designed he toy itself. And if you guys have ever bought any kits from them from Wonderfest, the resin quality is solid. I have their Beagle saddle bags, VF-1 option parts and the Zentradi soldier.

Because it's the only hero valk that doesn't have a set of custom FP's assigned to it back when they weren't really milking the mold. Back when the v.1 1/60's came out the FP version Roy came out and the strike came with it. The Max and Millia valks had custom colored FPs and the rest were DYRL which were darker. I guess they could have released it on the CF version but they'd probably prefer to bundle it with a more popular valk to get the most sales. They also didn't consider releasing it by itself because it was safer to release the darker DYRL valks with the strike cannon with it. Hikaru only uses it when he gets the Skull Leader valk. The 1J never has it on. The only armor he had on was the GBP.

Weird. As an Aliens and Macross fan, I can't believe I never noticed that. I keep looking for YouTube tutorials on how to do water dioramas like this... can't seem to find any. There's a ton but not this quality. Not that I do battle ship dioramas...

The price point of that Monster was less than some of the valks getting released now... Wasn't there three? One Ranka, One Sheryl and one standard?

I think it's because it's all white that it looks that bulky. Once they paint it it should break up the form a bit.
