Mezzo Forte was a hilarious OVA... Especially when that guy shot himself with the tranq gun. Having a series would be cool...

As far as we know he executive of Yamato is a big Macross fan and wants to bring out the an amazing line. That would explain the helmets and the Monster. Big West tested them out with the Mac+ license and were happy enough to give them the VF-1 line. I'm glad the VF-11 hip debacle didn't deter Big West. IMO, the 1/48 was an effort to give one of the best tranformable mecha design ever a line it deserves. It's funny because I thought the 1/55 scale was a pretty good line, but can't imagine being a Macros fan without the 1/48s anymore. Let's hope that the Yamato executive is a bigger Macross nut that we know of.

This has got to be the best transforming toy ever as far as design and aestethics. I still love the 1/48 first and foremost but that's because I'm biased by decades of being a fan and let's face it, it's based on a jet not a semi truck. But the MP Convoy is a tough as a Bandai 1/55 and looks as good as a 1/48. I'm not a big TF fan (I watched the originals once when it was originally aired) but I'm a fan of great toys and this is definitely one great one.

Hey Blaine, I believe there are plenty of tights in Castle Waiting... But that's a good list. One of these days I'm gonna have to pick up Stray Bullets and Replacement Gods, I've been meaning to. I've also been wanting to check out White Out, if you've read it, let me know if it's worth it. I remember the movie was really bad but the comic book Tank Girl is hilarious. Another short lived one was Major Bummer. It was about Aliens that sent out super hero powers to the wrong address because they didn't realize that the phone book listed people last name first. A bunch of losers ended up with the amazing gifts.

I was at the OneRing.Net forum in the San Diego ComiCon and they gave a very "official'" it was never filmed. Who ever runs that site had pics of himself at the sets. Anyway take that for what it's worth.

Yeah the truck version suffers very minimally. It's kinda funny how they put that seat in the middle. I can't figure out how to take off that mask. Not that I want it off, but knowing it comes off makes me want to pry it off.... What's Optimus doing talking to Starscream?
