  1. Seems like you're trolling him though... no one here has answered your call and yet you keep posting like you want him to give you something that he doesn't want to. It's not like he stole the script. He got it and now it's not available. He's not making money off it... if he gives it to you fine, if not move on.
  2. Agreed, specially the last part. But that's always been the obstacle, if it wasn't for the death grip of the "creative" team, then everything on that bullet point has a chance of being true. A real and more resourceful management team would have hired actual showrunners to create new components to get past all the restrictions they've been dealing with and branded a whole new Robotech that by now could be taken seriously. We always compare it to Macross but even properties like Avatar: The Legend of Korra get refreshed. There's a small bit of the old series in there but it's a totally different take.
  3. Hmmm... Interesting... Tell me, how long have you felt this way?
  4. Ah. Ok. We were discussing a specific scene that you haven't gotten to yet.
  5. Yup. Too early to tell. If anything this will give us good data on how strong the fandom really is. Another plus for this kickstarter project. I'm really glad they did this. Lol.
  6. I know taks was being sarcastic... But to indulge the thought... I'm not sure if they're even on the WB map anymore. This summer has been largely dissapointing for a lot of studios and they'll be focusing on putting their money on properties that have a strong proven draw or properties that have a crazy amount of following already, like teenage girl romance books and best sellers. I don't think Robotech is a property that is anywhere near those requirements. I mean you have to put about $250 million into a movie like Robotech. That's a huge stake on a property that needs a kickstarter just to get a pilot made. They'd have to hit it out of the ball park with this KS for them to get noticed by WB. I say they'd have to hit a stretch goal of $10 million just to get noticed. That's just numbers out of my ass but it's got to be way more than they're asking for. We'll be seeing a lot con panel videos. Lol.
  7. I was looking at other kicktraq datas on other projects and it seems normal that after a couple of days the donation drops, I'm not sure if this is significant because the goal is different for every project but as long as it receives a steady stream of backers and if they can spike it once and a while, it's still pretty possible to reach the goal. It's too early to tell though because we can't see if this will be a continuous drop or if they can pick it up to a steady stream of about 10k a day with a few meaningful spikes. Staying at 1.5k a day is a bad sign though. That's only an additional 45k towards the end, even if they spike a few days, they'll end up at around 200k at that rate.
  8. We're treading on old grounds here. Going to lock soon. On topic, the take today was only about $1500.
  9. Were we watching the same show? Stranded in a lifeboat is completely different from even a rubber raft with a small motor much less a fully functioning speedboat.
  10. Not when you're aimlessly drifting... it's like being stranded in a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, you're surrounded by water but drinking water is nowhere you can reach.
  11. What did Laplamiz say to Bodolza? That's Nacho Fortress!!! Bada-bump! Tsshhhhh!!! Here all week folks... keeping the day job!
  12. I agree with this, but at the same time the discussion of the sentinel is moot because the people that worked on that isn't the same team promising the new animation from the KS project. What people have to look at when considering donating money is everything done the last few years... maybe the last decade? That includes Shadow Chronicles, the added scenes from RT:LLA, the video games and the comic books. If that's the sort of quality that they're expecting then by all means they should donate. If they're expecting more, that would likely result in a successful continuance of the project? Then you really have to reconsider that donation. They may very well get a pilot made but as some people here brought up... what are the chances of that pilot getting picked up? What's their success rate? lol. MMX beat me to the issue of relevance... while I was typing this. Anyway... if you ask yourselves these questions and you're still tempted to donate... then I encourage you to donate and donate hard! If this project doesn't happen then we're right back where we were a couple of days ago and I rather see what comes out of this than have people whining about the missed opportunity of bringing Robotech back...
  13. Ena is the tough composition of placenta that cases the "core"... the weak spot that they have to destroy to make the gauna disintigrate. I think the word ena translates to "afterbirth"...
  14. that's exactly why the KS HAS to succeed! again... if it doesn't succeed, then the fun never starts... I don't know why people are hoping this fails...
  15. The best thing to come out of this project was Alien. Great documentary though and it led to some of the best comic book collaborations ever.
  16. Yes! I want the "die hard RT fans" to throw money at this! I want them to throw ALL their money at it. I hope they make 6 million dollars too, this way they directly invested at what HG is going to produce for them. I wish it would have happened sooner. You guys know we all want this to happen, as long we ourselves don't put money into it. Please don't let it fail!
  17. I want to see this abomination. I'm not paying but I'm thoroughly curious to see what they do with the half million dollars people give them. I'm going to be disappointed if it doesn't.
  18. They're only WF exclusives... if anything they're probably items that Mr.K wants in his private collection and making an exclusive kit out of it is a good way to pay the CAD engineer to do it and get his own copy for free... lol.
  19. If you have a smart phone install the netflix app and find it there, put it in your playlist then go back to your PC or media player and it'll be there.
  20. I'm not sure it's at all fair to anyone that saw the clip from Robotech 3000. Did anyone get to consider story or anything else when they saw 30 seconds of that scene? No one wanted it because it looked like ass. If you gave me 30 seconds of just the main opening credits of Robotech vs. 30 seconds of RT3000 I don't think they'll even consider watching RT3000. If you show the main opening credits of Macross, Southern Cross, Orguss or Mospeada...maybe more people would prefer Macross but there would be enough of a divide in preference just according to taste in quality and interests. You can jump 500 years into Robotech as long as 4 things are good... story, mech designs, character designs, and songs. If the Kickstarter campaign said something about hiring real writers, designers and a semi well known tv/film composer I'd be tempted to donate. But with the same exact team in the helm, they've already lost me.
  21. I already feel bad for the people that are going to donate to this. With the same so called "team" making this, it's going to be a bad investment. Hasn't anyone seen what they can produce? I guess with the so called continued success of the franchise, they still need the free money.
  22. No... I liked it and would recommend it. I'm just saying it's not going to make it to the classic, must see again list.
