Yup, the TV Nousjadeul-Ger is ugly. But the DYRL version resembled he TV Q-Rau which I prefer to the DYRL. I think that's why people think there were green Q-Raus in the movie... But a 1/60 DYRL Nousjadeul-Ger would be cool! I would actually prefer that to the Q-rau.

I think the bigger problem, as has already been said, is that Macross manga misses out on one huge part of Macross: music. Losing such an important aspect of a series in manga form, really counts against any substancial Macross manga being made. They could release a soundtrack with the series or something... anyway, I don't think they're interested in that at all. I mean who has time to think about manga when you're thinking about all the dogfights aerial CGs that happens on screen. I'm sure Kawamori would find it boring to think up an exciting story and only have a fraction of it translate on paper. Recently the storytelling has been the weakest point of the animes, that's pretty much all you're going to get in the mangas.

Adding those details to the 1/60 wouldn't make the 1/48 less expensive... it would just make the 1/60 more expensive. The 1/48's cost is well justified in Japan. But the argument was about whether or not a 1/48 scale enemy mech would be more detailed. At the scale it's at now it can probably acheive much more detail than Yamato is probably willing to give it without going to a larger scale. Now if Godzilla would just say he prefers to have everything in one scale, which is the 1/48... then there's no arguing that because we're just talking about his preference.

I don't really see why they should base the popularity of the 2 seaters or any 1/60s that came out after the 1/48s were released. A lot of people stopped investing on the 1/60s when they saw the 1/48s and decided they would take the chance on waiting for a larger version. And besides the 1/60 2 seaters were crap. It kinda scares me that if the GBP doesn't do well in the 1/60 scale then they will decide not to release it in 1/48. When the 1/48 is more deserving of the armor. EDIT: That's right! I said it's MORE deserving!!! ha!

It seems to be the current fad in anime and maybe in mangas but the stories have been oversaturated with philosophy. I'm not sure if it's not coming across right in the translation but the philosphy is really bad. it's always about evolution, where we came from, where are we going and it doesn't meld well with the story. Most of the time it's a character sitting there wondering about existence and then the next minute they're duking it out with a giant robot. EVA is a good example. That's why I'm more akin to the old 80's style japanese importations. SDF Macross was a great combination of story and substance. DYRL kinda got sidetracked by the whole protoculture for a minute, but the balance was still good. And it seems Shirow is not immune to the fad. It could be that he was guilty of it seeing as Orion was so deep in the whole mystic way of life thing early in the 90's. I don't want to see a shallow all out robot battle coming from Shirow and my other favorites but I wish the time would come back to where the philosophy served the plot not the other way around.

If they don't sell it without (much like the 1/60s) they maybe you can repackage the FPs in your other boxes and sell them. But once you get it in your hands you won't want to let go.

Yeah, especially of these ppl know that ROBOCRAP is nothing but 3 different shows AND YET they continue to like it. How would you like it if I combined Fist of the North Star with Mazinkaiser and gave it a catchy name? Watching Robotech makes me sick and I used to love Robotech back in 1985. Even if Robotech 2004 comes out, what HG did to those 3 series will leave a bad impression forever. Thank God Transformers was/is legit. Atleast something from my good old childhood days remain pure even if Armada/RID/Beast Machines sucked big time. Hate to tell you this, but aside from the original G1, Transformers suck. And I bet if I watch it now I would change my mind about G1. The problem with that would be that it would legitimately suck.

What are the rumors on who's filling those suit? Caucasians most likely or Aussies/New Zealanders... I can see Tara Reid as Asuka and Alyson Hannigan as Rei. hell since I'm going with the American Pie cast they should get Jason Biggs as Sinji because that Sinji is the type that WOULD screw a pie.
