I don't really understand the backlash on discussing this. Most of the people here discussed the rulings for months and months to no end. And now something significant happens and you can't let the discussion run for a couple of days. The news just broke a couple of days ago and there are people here that aren't here on a daily basis (like some of us .) the fact that people are panicking is just an opinion on how you look at the thread, some people may just see it as amusing. My intention wasn't to critisize the discussion at all... Sorry if I came across that way. I'm just surprised that people can still come up with stuff to say about the subject after 18 pages. I guess I just want to hear something from the horse's mouth so to speak as to what this news really means for Macross, and if it will affect products for the future in a negative or a positive way for fans. (like me. ) It's alright Rocco... I have just been seeing so much stuff against the thread and thought your post was the best one to quote... no harm...

I see it putting pressure on BW to finally let Yamato deal with HG to release their DYRL? merchandise internationally. Edit: shoulda' read the next post. If that equals to cheap Yamato toys with Macross on the box.... then it equals to happy fans. Now... if that means Yamato toys with Robotech on the box.... then it equals to fans carrying pitch forks and torches. The question for most fans is not if HG has the rights or not.... its wether HG is willing to bring that stuff over without changing it into RT or messing around art work and such. And as long as BW and SK are getting some of the dough.... no one here will complain about anything. I was talking to someone over PM about this. BW letting HG handle their merchandise, especially that outside of SDF is like letting Michael Jackson babysit your little boy. BW put a lot of time and effort into creating an original and well nurtured property, why would they want a bunch of bootleggers with no original bones in their bodies represent them to the rest of the world. I heard people say BW is just being stubborn. I say, Hell yeah! Would you think BW would be resisting this much if HG had great merchandise that sold well? Would anyone pay good money to have someone else distort their products? Quality property deserved quality handling. There's enough bootleggers out there for the crap.

Sorry joke-machine, you maybe sincere and have the best intentions but if anyone was to take it serious you would have to set it up in a more organized and trackable manner. I hope you understand that asking for collectibles from collectors is like telling a junkie to give up his stash for a good cause. You'd have to ask for something that they don't need that may be of value to someone else. Good luck.

I never really liked the 1/60s. I bought the Super and the Strike and thought I wouldn't get any more. But they came out with the D and the Super O and Elint. I thought I should get them because they're more difficult to get in any other form. Along with the YF-21, those have to be the worst valks ever. I'd rather get Bandais. To me they're just a tad above the MPCs. Of course I'm just talking about the valks, I can't wait for the 1/60 Q-Rau to be released. One more month! right?

I thought they cancelled Grounded for Life and then I caught it while Channel Surfing. It went from Fox to the WB...

I heard Dave Chappelle's show was hilarious, but I don't get cable and don't plan on it. oh well. Scrubs is funny, but I keep missing it because they keep moving the damn thing. 70's show is kinda winding down, but the good news is they all know it and are ready to end it soon.

I hate my 1/48s... Sometimes I sit down to admire it, then next thing you know this guys cuts me off screaming obsceneties. If I wasn't on my cell phone I would have sped up to flip him off. Too much trouble.

Personally I don't like longer versions of what works as a 30 minute show, cartoon or otherwise. They usually end up in Paris and get involved in some spy caper inadverdently or something. But this is the first that I'm hearing that the Simpsons are not funny anymore. I haven't been able to watch it regularly as I used to, but whenever I do get to see it, it seems like they still do it for me. If anything I think it'll take the death of a major cast member to stop this show in its tracks.

Never happen. BigWest/Studio Nue's U.S. Copyright to Macross Plus is still in effect and, to my knowledge, has never been officially challenged by HG. Sorry Drew, I'm not big on the whole ownership debate... what would have been a better example? Macross 2 or Macross 7 valks. I mean they are working off the whole we own the Macross name outside of Japan aren't they? Or the fact that Tatsanuko hada part in DYRL??? I guess it's all just speculation what their claim is, and it's too much to hope that we would find out.
