The first time I saw him I thought they were goggles.

I've messaged Melissa about this already, but I'll post it here too. I'm not too sure if I'd be up for one of these guys, but I'd be willing to help out with sourcing the screws - I'm sure I could get them from McMaster, either Metric or suitable SAE replacements, that should be cheaper than any source that doesn't deal in hardware (and I also have some hardware specific suppliers that may be cheaper than McMaster - depending on quantity). It'll at least help Valkyrie out, with not having to do ALL the work. Jung, here's Valkyrie's and Fulcy's input on that question...

The movie industry doesn't get any money from the drinks and snacks. Only the theatres do. The movie company gets the all the money for the ticket sales for the first one or two weeks and then the theatre chain gets a cut of the admission fee after that. The percentage of the theatre's cut goes up as the weeks go by. That's why the movie studios push the opening weekend so much, to make sure they get a majority of the money being made and that's why the theatres charge so much for food and drinks. So here's another guilt trip...when you sneak in food you're actually stealing from the employees that work at the theatre you go to...

Hellboy and his gang are paranormal investigators. Like Scooby and Ghostbusters, but the stories in the book gets into the occult and really dark myths. It's really well drawn and well written. Hellboy looks cheesy in the movie, but the other characters are spot on. This is on my I can't wait list. ADD: IIRC, I was the only one that was excited about Pirates last year...

looks great, maybe using the Low Viz decals will make it look even better. Also, painting the verniers a seperate color would punch it up too...

You're sending the wolf?

fiscal... Well I don't have much business sense, but I just hear it from a friend of a friend's cousin who's brother's wife's nephew... had a friend... That and I like to yank on M+ fans chains...

I HATE the 20! Not only is it 20 minutes long, but at the end of it all they sum up everything you just saw... who the hell cares? Why don't they just show the trailers during that time and start the movie when they promised. I already paid thru my nose to get in, why the ads? And keep babies out of anything PG13 and above! If ya can't get a babysitter, stay the fk home!

Hey, target marketing doesn't always work. I actually can't really imagine what the M+ demographic really was. Well, M+ came out in 1994, so according to you reasoning, people that want a 1/48 maybe finally able to get it in 2014, because that's when they'll have the money and jobs to be able to afford it. Maybe they'll give M+ fans a break and release the 1/72 redesign halfway thru that mark... in 2009!

So who is the YF-19 targetted to? because clearly no one is listening to the them...

Although, shirow draws his women as super attractive I would assume that Deunan wouldn't be what I consider as cute. I got a feeling she'd be more of what AgentOne would call his "type"... I'm just glad they're drawn... and drawn well...

Chris, I was thinking the same thing... it seems that the VB-6 is has a more complicated transforming sequence. And each form is complete, not a hybrid like the GERWALK mode on the VF-1. It would cool to find a complicated paint scheme that seams flawlessly in each mode. Like I said before, it's an exciting project!!!

yup... that's an oldie but goodie...
-
Nah, I never buy that argument... but I guess you have to be real picky and not grab any woman off the side of the road like they did here. Poor Shirow, they always screw with his property.

And on that note... without further ado, let's get this thread back on track! Hey guys Remember me?!?

yuck!

well same sculpt. But if you notice more articulation. Remember the Briareos figure was one solid piece of plastic. And i think the Duenan fig is completely original. Dunno.. You might be right. hey I didn't realize that... Weird spot to put the elbow joint on Bri, right on the muscle. I'll have to pick these up, hopefully i can swap the movie head for the Shirow designed one. Thanks Bri!

Same f'n figures.... different packaging... (new face for deunan though) No kidding... something like this...

OK, here's my reasoning... am I disappointed by the toy? Only by the Miria figure. But they never promised an articulated action figure, you'd just figure that at 1/60scale they can give us an poseable pilot. Is it cheap? No. But the quality is still high. No cheap plasic and no parts that fall off or doesn't fit. Compared to the 1/48... it does the exact same thing for me in my life, which is absolutely nothing. It sits there and looks pretty. I pick it up once and while and look at it closer. It's a toy that was worth having at the price I was willing to spend. I guess that makes me the target customer. I can't wait to see one in Blue. Sure I find the Optimus Prime as a better bargain, but I'm not a Transformers fan. If I had to pick I'd probably end up getting the Q-Rau instead of Prime.

What sucks is that this was the perfect chance to see whether or not Millia has green hair all over and were given a paperweight instead. Naked Millia is canon! Its in the Gold Book!!!

AGREED Vostok 7 I'm surprised that she could fit into the Q-rau in that pose....maybe paint her hair green and she'll look like Milia with an ass? (and rack even...) I don't have that statue. Mine is an actions figure with minimal articulation. I can't close the cockpit door and I thnk her rack doesn't allow me to puch her in any furhter... I was just looking for a suitable substitute to start working on an alternative figure. But now it looks like I don't have to.(See Hayao's post) I'm waiting for confirmation that it's gonna happen.
