How many people here were able to buy Takas or Bandais even Matchboxes back when it was originally released? I bought a Taka VF-1S for $60 in the 80s and then when the Super was rereleased I was lucky enough to get some of those. I also had some 1/100s but those babies are long gone. I remember the shelves were full of Matchbox Joke machines and the SDF-1. I still have my SDF-1 but I didn't have enough money and was too choosy to buy the JMs because I wanted the 1/55s more. (OK, it wasn't even my money it was my folks') And a little OT, I bought Alphas and Cyclones of the shelves at Target, back when they first opened around my neighborhood. So how many others had it that good and didn't know it? BTW... let me list the prices. SDF-1 was $35 VF-1S was $60 Super VF-1s was $80 Alpha $19.99 Cyclone $25

harmony gold claims to own all American rights to all things Macross apparently they think this includes macross plus, II, 7, DYRL?, VF-X... you name it. If it is Macross, then according to harmony gold it is not allowed to be brought into america by any means... I think the last time i heard of them doing this, they refered to yamatos and bandais as bootleg robotech toys and demended that they be "returned" to harmony gold. Actually they claim blanket rights to everything with the name of Macross outside of Japan. I think with the recent developments they are reasserting this claim, especially when it comes to DYRL. And sorry about the language... I posted that in a less popular section.

They have these collars for dogs that send mild electric shocks to deter them from doing things that you may not want them to do. They work rather well for kids also. ok. if I hear someone actually try that crap, then I expected too much from you people...

Well that's no help... If you're looking for rare then look for the takatoku version. It's the exact same thing except for paint and box art. Not the rarest item but it's the original. Honestly I think the vendors should pimp themselves. There's nothing wrong with getting on a thread or starting one and saying that they have so and so items. It also tells you which vendor has more free time to be taking care of stuff. Because if they're too busy to post, then they're too busy to asnwer PMs and get stuff done. Many dealers have repeatedly said that this was something that they do on they're spare time so we can only expect as much. We can pretty much tell which dealer is active and which ones are on somekind of hiatus or have simply given up the time. Right? I mean who would you by from? I totally agree. If more people would take the time to show their children a good upbringing, everyone would be a lot better. Jack Daniels instead of milk, A Clockwork Orange and Natural Born Killers instead of Harry Potter and Barney. Hustler instead of Highlights, or whatever hippie crap kids read these days. That just goes to prove that parents should pay more attention to what kids watch. It's easy to sit them in front of the tube and go on with your day, but for kids those shows are a big part of their life. It teaches them communication skills, ettiquette, morals. I mean kids are impressionable! But all it takes is a little interest in what your kids, nieces or nephews are exposed to.
