Well if you were an RT fan and bought the regular version because they announced that there was never going to be a remastered version. I'd say that the better investment would be a Netflix membership and a DVD burner...

I don't think there's that much swearing here... it's just that I personally hate the replacement of words... like when you watch Scarface on USA network... I don't see why not... The VF-1s are the cash cows of Macross and Macross is the cashcow of Yamato. Even their weakest selling one is sold out. I'm more or less wondering if there's going to be newer schemes, which I am hoping for.

Same here. As much as I love me some Robocop, I can't stand McFarlane's rubbery, 2 points of articulation, fall-apart figures. What's an Aoshima? Aoshima recently made the 1/12 terminator endos and then the huge 1/6 die cast endos that went for $150. Noe they're doing a 1/12 robocop. Hopefully they'll do a deluxe Robocop figure. If not I have the same one you have, Blaine. The bluish one with all the accessories and sound chip. Best Robocop figure. They're also rereleasing some Alien/Aliens kits as well as some of their own. No figures though. But if they did, it'll be kickass.

Seems like the board has gotten way too PC lately. With the closing of some threads, censoring of words, sometimes you can't even say the word "bootleg". Did MW get so big that there people watching us? Was there a special event that happened that caused the stricter administration of the place. I remember there was someone that posted a link to Realdoll and I complained about the sexual nature of the site, yet nothing was done. So I thought well, that's cool, if the site has a relaxed attitude then so should I. But now that I have gotten use to certain freedoms, it seems like the attitude did a 180. Was the cosplay thread really that bad. Maybe some folks got out of line but it seemd that the member were able to correct themselves. The line was pushed but it seemed like people aren't allowed to say the "wrong" thing once and a while anymore. I know this is a place for info and shared interests, but are we to assume this isn't the place to have fun anymore also? I intend this thread to be for discussion not just whining... I know it sounds like I am. But I've been wondering about this for a while.

No LEDs... I transformed it enough to know that there are no magnets. The arms and legs attach to each other by pegs. Funny they were trying to avoid that with the VFs because of wear... but I guess it's better than magnets...

I actually hate Shin and then there's that girl that looks just like him... what's her purpose in the story... Mikimoto.. I'm just a big fan Idol singer, bring back the female vocalist... I like minmay, Sharon Apple and Mylene... it's just a clause to keep out the Basaras... Bad Ass Aliens... I never said "big". It's just another clause to make sure there huge space warfare and centralize the story on the military aspect. Instead of goddamned bands and camera men. I think M+ was a special case becasue it was so intimate. But couldn't so a whole mega series based on it. The test flight rivalry would drag too long. It's perfect as it is. A good example of story deviation. But still I would have preferred Mikimoto char design. Another big deterrence to Macross' popularity is the fact that it can't shake RT from it's tail... the fans are always going to be divided and misinformed. At the point when Macross Plus and Seven came out if they would have made the big "formulaic" sequel (again I stress formulaic elements, not stories) that people wanted then it would have taken the new and nostalgic audience by storm. A lot of people loved M+, but it read like a side story, they hungry for more we got mac7. Which eventually turned a lot of people off... another point of division for the fans. I applaud Kawamori for his originality, but it sacrifices the solidarity within its fanbase to make it rival to Gundam. I know this may not be important to the froating head but the question was asked and I believe that part of the answer... IMHO.

Ah, I see. I was not aware of that. I've seen those, but was unaware of it being canon. Looks to me that Toynami is just concerned of actually being anime correct and not canon. Purhaps that's what might be the difference hinted at between the first 3000 and the the ones after? Where did you guys get the #3000? I was aware of that number but I never said anything? Actually saw the lineart from an folder that an HG employee showed me. But it was Artmic material from the signatures from the drawings themselves...

I've also seen the Artmic lineart for it. I mentioned it on this thread somewhere before... it's canon.
