  1. Yeah, but that doesn't compare to Captain America (both the 1978 TV movie and 1992 film). Awww... I like those films... especially the 1992 with the fake ears. There was a pre-Linda Carter Wonder Woman... it was god awful... Man I'm old!
  2. When's the next update? C'on Rob... it's been a whole day already!

    2 seater 1/48s

The poll's just for fun. What I want to know is how impossible is it to modify the 1/48s to 2 seaters. From Yamato or otherwise. Is there something that makes this too tough to do? Longer cockpits? Heat shield won't fit? We all heard Graham tell us what Yamato told him how their not interested in it. But for what reason? Retooling cost or just impracticality? Please discuss all problems and maybe some of the resolutions you may think would make this dream... um, a wetter dream...
  4. I heard on the radio today (KROQ in L.A. Ralph's movie beat) that this was a false rumor. I haven't found anything on the net to back up the report though...
  5. meh... all companies are like that... try talking to my cell phone and cable internet providers...
  6. There were no gunfights from what I remember. My memory is shaky... I can only remember Jason Bourne using a rolled up magazine. He used a gun to spy on the CIA.
  7. Greg did a damn fine job. I belive he hacked the hands and legs off the PVc statue also. And then painted the harness and belt. The one thing thatI neve see done right is the belt. It's suppose to go inside the suit except where the red part is. Cosplayas get ths wrong also or it's just too much to ask for.
  8. She would have been my first choice for Storm. The whole cast, except for Wolverine and the Professor seemed weird to me as none of them fit the profiles of their comic book counterparts. Rogue was suppose to be a southern belle, I think she tried the accent but just ended up sounding slurmty. Jean Grey and Cyclops were weird choices too, but I think Famke Jansenn made the most of her part. Brian Singer benifitted from centering the main storyline on Logan, Prof. X and Magneto (another funny choice that worked out. I was pulling for Rutger Hauer to get the part.)
  9. LOL... Can you belive I bought over a $100 worth of Takatoys stickers... and still haven't gotten around to it?
  10. lol... I said my keyboard was shorted didn't I? haha. Seriously looking good. When's the next update?
  11. Damn you Fulcy!!! My keyboard shorted!!! um, how am I typing this then. So you tore up the legs of a 1J and parts of a FP set?
  12. yup. its luck of the draw... all my later ones are loose...
  13. That was Greg Lane. I have the pic at home. newca just wants the helmet. So the price might be just right if that's all he wants to keep. But I betting that laughing at the thing in your hands will count as enjoyment, only to be ruined by the uncontrollable urge to stab your eyes out...

    Meltran Assault

I can't agree with you guys more. That's why I reposted the pencils. I tried to add grime to the Q-Rau but short of detailing and weathering it, it can't really be done unless I sit there for days. I'm just not that quick and don't have enough time. Hopefully I can reproduce it someday for myself the way I have it in my head. In retrospect I would have added the shoulder harnesses in the Qrau on top of those soap bars she has on her uniform...
  15. 12" 1/6 scale... I saw some of these on auction. A set of 3 went for $10.
  16. They musta just opened a Krispy Cremes...

forgot her eyebrows... here's the pencils...
  18. you try getting groped by naked Billy Bob... eh, i'm not impressed. Angelina did it for a while and for free. i guess that puts her in the running for a nobel peace prize... Well they did make her Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. Maybe if Hillary Clinton hooks up with him, she'll get the presidency...
  19. Do we really "need" any of these toys... That would probably be the first one I toss out. I wouldn't like one if Yamato made it. Unfortunately I have one given to me when I was little. A nice gesture...

After looking at the pencils for a year, I finally decided to color it up... spent a couple of hours, I still see imperfactions, including my horrid inking, but I'm pretty much done with it...

    Yamato Toys in general

it's a nice feature, not a precious necessity... Yes I heard Pamela Anderson wears die-cast shoes...

    Yamato Toys in general

Wow... Dr. Clay... you're like... insane. No one was attacking you. All I saw was people adding to a pro and con discussion. I love die cast as much as the next guy, I think the MP Prime is awesome and see it as the ultimate toy that has been released recently. But what's this about using die cast as a weight for balance? Prime still tends to lean back and forth because all it's weight are resting on the two small ball joints at the ankle. And the Truck mode suffers from a perfect form. I still love it, but nothing compared to the 1/48. Which "toy" do you think will look better in a couple of years? The scratched up Prime of the 1/48, or even the Q-Rau. Can you even imagine how the 1/48 landing gears will hold up with the FPs? Or just how heavy the whole thing is with the FPs. Toy, model, call it what you want. I don't really see the point to your crusade. Are you hoping Yamato would recall all the toys they sold to replace them with your wet dream?
  23. you try getting groped by naked Billy Bob...
  24. I was disappointed how paint by number the script was. The way he resolved it with the Brian Cox character was way to common in espionage/political conspiracy movies. I don't mind handheld camera film making, I thought that this was so extreme that we missed a lot of what was happening.... I barely remember anything about the car chase at the end. Aside from the camera work it was a story that was told well, but I've seen it too many times before.
  25. It would take a lot for one person to pull all that off, but it does take a good director to get everyone to put out your vision of a script. There maybe a lot of people working on the movie and as much as they should get credit, what you get is pretty much Shymalan's vision. And whether you like his movies or not, that's what you're gonna get. I can respect people not liking the movie, as I said I don't blame anyone from leaving the theatre disappointed. But I can also respect someone who can put a lot of substance in a movie, wherther it be predictable to some or not. Frankly, I was so absorbed in the film I didn't think about the twist. I'm not a big fan of Unbreakable but I thought the twist at the end was pretty good too. It's too bad I had to suffer thru 2 hours before I got there. I also agree that he maybe overrated, I think he's trying to deliver good popcorn fun but people, maybe including himself, maybe trying to read too much into his movies.
