    Bandai 1/55

what's that expression? We can talk 'til the cows come home...
  2. That was a great one, NOS...!!!
  3. Nice, Roy is the man. No Roy MPC. *Now ducks* But he has that SD toynami one... No Roy JM... I like those pics. Looks cool.
  4. I wasn't trollin RT. It was a nice decent conversation at first. I'm actually OK with him being here. It's a decent enough thread.
  5. it'll take me about a day.. that how slow the servers are to post anything... I'm better off praying in a church in Nicaragua, to get heard over there. Actually I was banned for flaming the guy that started this thread... weird huh...
  6. George Clooney is a live action bobble head.
  7. Mine too!!! something about honor students and their skulls!
  8. Dean Cain was an awful choice for superman. His face is so recognizable. You need that bland face. If the whole notion of hiding you face behind glasses wasn't stupid enough, why get someone with sucha distinct face. Christopher Reeve kinda pulled it off. He was great in the role. I think in Linda Carters face was recognizable too, but there's nothing like a nice set of boobs to confuse and distract you... ... ... What was I talking about? Oh yeah... Val Kilmer was an awful choice for Batman. The only part of the face that shows is your mouth and you get someone with buckteeth... Bruce I know it's you, you got those huge overbite hanging out of you mask!
  9. I might get the whole set. I'm waiting to see the quality after I get it in my hands and played with it some. I wish they would come out with a bigger scale that won't connect to a Beta. Just a nicely detailed 1/32 that look good next to the 1/48 and MPC Prime. Gakken came out with different versions. But we all know how "conservative" toy companies are now a days. If they did, I'd get a whole line of that too. I love me them Legiosses. Legii? Alphas...
  10. I was watching Jimmy last night and they had Miltron at a pitbull show. (I didn't know gangstaz had dog shows.) Anyway, Jimmy asked him if he's ever been with a woman and he hesitated so long that the answer was obvious... http://abc.go.com/primetime/jimmykimmel/datetronman.html
  11. are we there yet?
  12. ***SPOILERS*** DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT. Cruise's character is probably the most interesting. Though, as I said it's a pretty one-dimensional role, you get hints of how psychotic he really is. His justifications for his actions are weak, yet he stands by them with great conviction. He comes across as someone who is really smart, but the whole time I think Max (Jamie Foxx's character) has this "who's he kidding?" attitude. Max knows he's not gonna last the night and Cruise will kill him as soon as he's done with his business. He lied to the Jazz man, so you know he's leading Max on with all that "if we both make it out of this alive" bullcrap. As I said before, he's pretty brutal. He starts asking Max if he's going to call the Pinkett character as soon as he learns that she's the next target. I thought that was pretty sick in a way. At the same time it was kinda funny that he gets his thrills like that.

    Bandai 1/55

At the MW Con there were prototypes to what Bandai had planned for the 1/55s as part of xstoy's collection before they decided to scrap the whole macross deal due to oversaturation. Bandai came back too late in the game. If they would have done it a couple of years before, they would have made a killing and would probably still be in the game a few years more. Did you guys see the 1/55 Tomahawk Destroid proto? There were other things in display that could be of interest.
  14. That's a great price. I thought it was going to be a lot more than the 1:48 because it was much bulkier and doesn't have a lot of schemes like the VF-1. November is a great date also. Hopefully I can hold out long enough to wait for someone to give it to me as a gift.
  15. The rumors are probably spun by Hollywood itself. They were just talking about Singer offering Welling the part on the radio.
  16. I know the one you are talking about Boxer. I've been breaking my head trying to figure out which book it's in. I've looked at all the ones I had. Great pic Hikaru!
  17. I feel that the Rogue character was a mix of Jubilee and Rogue herself. (Even though Jubilation Lee comes out in both movies as an extra.) The relationship between Logan and Rogue was very much like that of Wolvie and JL. It's ok, she has the lamest mutant power anyway.
  18. Well since the labels are based on the birthrates and the birthrates went back up in 1976-81, that generation is sometimes called Gen Y. Gen X is categorized based on the low birth rates between 1965-1975.
  19. I believe if people here invest their toys for anything, it's to buy more toys. Not to buy a house or send their kids to college. Most people...
  20. It's the mindless bashing of the negative opinion that I can't stand... Seriously... I can care less about both franchise now. Both properties in their own material hasn't been taken to it's best form in years. I doubt that Paul WS Anderson is the guy to take them there...
  21. Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention, that's Jung's 1/48 comparison pic.
  22. I've stopped on my collecting... hmmm... 2:47... OK... time to start again!.. *goes to ebay*
  23. Jung posted this... nicely built kit and the yamato...
  24. What an excellent crime caper. It's set up to be predictable but it really puts some heart into he story. 5 targets, so you know that it won't start to boil until the 5th target. But Michael Mann really packs the action inbetween. And he escelates the thrills each time a target is taken out. I really like the way he shoots the city nights too. Ever since Miami Vice, he has made a character of the settings. This time, as often with his movies, the setting is L.A. Sometimes I wonder if Mr. Mann just drives around all night making up scenarios for his movies, because he knows the streets so well. This movie feels a lot like an old Brian De Palma film. Very visceral and urgent. In his other movies, like Heat, though I enjoyed it a lot, there were parts that dragged, I didn't really feel that here. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx were very good also. They put a lot of persona in their character. Tom Cruise was pretty one dimensional. But he handled the part believably. The part where he runs into the 2 thugs in the alley was pretty brutal, and enjoyably. The scene with the jazz player was very good too. At the end the show was run by the chemistry between Cruise and Foxx. I'm kinda surprised at how good Foxx is. I really haven't seen him in much. Score 2 for Cruise, not one of my favorite actors... but Samurai and this one are two enjoyable movies... now let's hear the naysayers... edit: my engrish is getting better and better...
  25. I've never seen your color update,Chi. AWESOME!
