I didn't really care for the Daredevil movie, but I really liked Jennifer Garner in the role of Elektra. She really learns the moves and the use of the weapons herself and she looks fluid in her fight scenes. Just check out Alias every week and you'll see what I mean. (Unfortunately you have to wait until January to see the next season, but Season 1 and 2 is on DVD.) Fortunately, the creative team of the Daredevil movie is absent here. Taking over helming position is Rob Bowman of X-Files and Reign of Fire fame. (I was sooo disappointed with Reign of Fire, I thought it was going to be modern war machines against dragons) So far he's only been so-so in my books. Here's the featurette: http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/2005/DEF...ktra/firstlook/ why don't they give here the loin sash, like in the comic books?...

Pics of my Mospeada models built by Jung...
EXO replied to Pat S's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I actually prefer the MPC sculpt more, aside from the huge feet. The hideous seam lines on the MPC stand out so much next to that kit though... Great collection Pat S! -
I guess after a certain point they start over, so we can believe that there's only 15000 of these things...

Could you link the article!?? Do you know if its like kiddie? I'd personally like an adult version, (and no EXO I don't mean porn) where the clues just require some serious research. Are you sure you don't mean porn???

Miria's in a set of her own, with three figures. Not the next trading set.

stub, plug, nub. male connection. Anyway, we entertained the metal reinforcement idea, but at the ned decided against it. more time, cost and the fact that it was uneccessary. A lot of people felt that it was strong enough, even as strong as the rubbery originals. The secret is to shave it to the correct size and it'll have resistance from the "female" recepticle.

On all mine, the gray piece just snaps off. Maybe a sharp exacto can help you. As for the hands, give me one of your pics and I'll send you a replacement. BTW... the hand prongs were made thicker on purpose. It does not slide in there right when you recieve them. You have to shave the sides off them little by little. until it's just right.

wtf? Lock a thread cuz it makes Yamato look bad? Where is that in the rule books? I can agree that this topic could have gone on the what's wrong with my Yamato thread but locking a thread because of some stupid reason is just incomprehensible. This thread would probably still be locked but... whatever... Geecie, your drawing is inaccurate. Piece # 1 is the gray part that covers piece # 2 in fighter. It goes on the other side of the hand. Number 2 is to swivel the hand around. Both parts serve a purpose. There's no need for drilling. The gray piece comes off and you can push the piece out with a clip. Is it the TV hand? (judging from the drawing) or a regular one? If its the TV hand then you can order the TV hands from Rohby. They're actually a lot better. If they are the regular ones then maybe someone has a replacement.

Stig was from the Mars Base 21st Armored flight wing so my guess is the numbers are for his original issued vehicle... they never really say if the one they "find" in the anime is his original fighter or not, it is just assumed it is not. Jim Austin (Lunk for you Robotechies) just tells Stig "I've been working on/restoring it" which makes it obvious that it cannot be the same unit. All "leader" fighters in Mospeada are painted Blue and White so it was most likely some other poor clod's ditched plane that Jim restored. really? I thought the color represented a flight wing or the command they were under. Cuz when they dropped from the ships there was only one color of Legioss. It was a swarm of green the first ep. And Stick came down and it was almost all blue. IIRC. Gotta check it out again.

I saw it, but I'm not into getting Shirow books that are not filled with Shirow art. Someone do a review. Maybe I'll change my mind...

Hey Graham... I'm pretty sure you talked to Tony already. But most of those redesigns were on their way before they decided it wasn't worth it. I belive they just came too late to the market. They waited until they saw the 1/60s making good money and they flooded the market , the dam already broke. They should have released earlier and put out the rarer valks first. Ostrich, Elint and Strike. And left the rest for the completists.

Since this is going to ge locked, because it was previously posted before. I'm gonna take this oppurtunity to say... quit IMing threads that are already posted... it's on a message board! If I wanted to see it, I'll open the thread! If I had an opinion, Ill reply. It's not like I'm shy about posting... Thanks

Well, if you are going to lie at least make it reasonable. Anyone who has handled a MPC VF-1 and a 1/48 would know that was an incredibly stupid thing to say. Did anyone call BS on him? I guess it would disappoint Tommy to know that I play with my 1/48 more than the MPC? vinnie Of course... I told him that I have many and I have one MPC VF that hides in the closet. I wasn't rude or anything, I was an outsider and they were a circle of friends. And we talked about the potential MPC Cyclone. So it wasn't a hostile environment. He actually asked for opinions. He asked if they should release an MPC Cyclone targeted to the masses or to the collector. I told him to target the collectors and make the best and the biggest cyclone they can. A friendly argument followed about price and quality, but he took it all in stride. He also talked about a potential Mospeada Perfect memory book. I've seen his lineart collection and it'd be something to behold. If I knew then what I know now...

You know what's funny. I was sitting at a table in SDCC waiting for the raffle and the HG people were there. Tommy Yun was saying how fragile the 1/48 was and compared it to the MPCs (both versions). How they were meant to be played with and the 1/48 was closer to a model that is only for display. Well I probably won't be getting any more Alphas and becuase of the quality I have 20 1/48s. Make them right and I'll buy them all... well, not all, I'm sure Godzilla will want some. Do you know anyone with over 10 MPCs?

The tabs in the This Is Animation is for DYRL, the song, I believe.

Great review Mechaninac... This last thing hit it right on the nose. I noticed that a lot of the joints in the arms is very poorly designed. In fact, most of my problems here is about the arms. The fact that it won't close in fighter. The looseness of the joints in soldier. If you look at the rotating joints, there are no washers to keep actuall parts from rubbing. The metal joints where the arm connects to the rest of the Alpha is only held by the plasic shell of the arm. Again, no washers or at least a difference in thickness for wear. I think most of my issue is with the arms. I'm totally happy with the rest of the toy. I have no problems lining up the legs and the rest of the body. It's as if a whole other person designed the arms. And they got some retard to do it. I think we're better off designing our own arms and attaching it to the toy.

haha. yeah... I think the alcohol in those japanese bars are distracting you, Sean... When was Gundams 25th? This year or last year?
