    Tatsanuko only has merchandising rights to the original Macross and DYRL. HG is blocking the derivatives by trademarking the name Macross outside of Japan.

    Even if they made a movie, it won't be Robotech and it'll cater to a totally different audience. Unless you're a new fan of that movie, the existing fans will be rejoicing it because of the brand. It would be so far removed.

    That animation for under the dog is worth every penny if they fund it. If they said that each episode cost that much to produce if believe that too. I'm actually thinking about pledging.

    I know people that paint Roy Focker figures purple because of some screenshots and even some promotional pieces... they're crazy! Just google "Roy Focker" and you'll find some images where his flight suit has a purplish tinge... but it's just for tone. You can't color things exactly the same way when they're in different locations... it'll look dull and feel flat. Adjusting the hue reflects the location, mood and atmosphere for the scene.

HG already thinks that RT fans will take anything but really it's the die-hard "we'll take anything anything we can get" attitude that's screwing it up for everyone.
