Nepal to NY??? You should have let that suspension of disbelief kick in when the plane took a dive... I thought it was great, but each part needed a little more. New things kept getting introduced while I was trying to soak in the last thing. It was truly awesome. I thought that the camera thing was a great trick to keep you wondering what could possibly be next. And it ended up to be the funniest moments in the movie. I'm not a big Paltrow fan but I thought her part was kinda essential to the movie, though they forced her presence a bit. But there was a big pay off in the end, when Joe decided he wasn't having anymore of that. It felt more like a TV series premiere (storywise not visually) than a feature film because of the length.

It was... I don't really understand how it's going to be based on the GBP armor as they barely have similarities, except for the fact that they are battroid only armours... do you mean connection points? Parts would hardly be interchangeable... just a question, but I would love to see it.

I picked all, but I don't care about the Stampy and the high detail... I just want my Elint, Ostrich, GBP(thanks to Yamato) and the Thunder hammer.

Sorry man, but Star Wars was always aimed at kids. Yeah, kids that love arms being chopped off... While there was no PG-13 back then I believe Lucas's intended sensibilties has noticeably gone from PG-13 to PG-8. The best movies for me has always had that conflict where it's a kid movie made for adults or a mature movie that has things I want to see as a kid. As a kid I grinned when the actors said bad words. And as an adult I smile when I see robots fight on screen. There's a fine line and Lucas gets to cross it whichever way he chooses because he and others like Spielberg drew the it for the modern cinema. I'm actually glad for the changes. It'll make the viewing more interesting. Sure I'll wince once and a while, but as much as I love the original, there were parts in that that made me wince also. Hopefully they'll release it, but that's not what this is about. It's about something new.

Voltron to me is all about nostalgia anyway. Amen. I could really care less about nostalgia. The appeal of the 80's to me is their workmanship. The precision. The perfection of the item. The flawlessness of the mechanics. That's what the Chunky Munky and the original Golion had over the newer toys today. Don't get me wrong. I love the 1:48 and I'm not a strong critic of the Alpha... but I never opened a toy back in the 80's and worried about instant breakage, messy paint, unplayability, missing parts or whatever it was we worry about now. You took it out of the box and you played with it... If that's what nostalgia is, then I guess I can't f'n get over it. To me there's still toys that continue that tradition. SOCs, BTs and MP Prime are a couple... it's too bad these lines don't mean as much to me as Macross, but it's good to know that there's still people making good toys... personally I think Yamato will get there, it's Toynami I'm worried about. awww... man... here comes Js and his defective Walmart Prime....

It was their attempt at a cyberpunk story as well. I remember reading in an old interview that a lot of the main characters names were based off famous cyberpunk novelists; Gibson, Rucker, Sterling, etc. ghhkk.. I hate it when they do that... kinda cheesy... it's like oooh looks at us, we're so dep within the cyberpunk cult... anyone that has casually heard of cyberpunk has heard those names... Priss and the Replicants, now there's a smart homage.... it doesn't reak of trying too hard...
