The paper I used is ultra thin polyvinyl film (PVF). Adheres to surfaces like a mofo, especially after exposure to heat. Don't push it, though. The topcoat and inks I use aren't indestructible.... Yeah, I was talking about the chest stripes, more or less. Colored vinyl can take the stress that ink can't. The chestplate on the recasts are really bendable.

Car decals are not heat activated. They jsut peel and stick. Also they are really really thick compared to the size and scale of the JM. there's different thicknesses to vinyl. And they stick more more after they've been left in the sun or if heat is applied. I should know I worked in a graphic workshop for years. They made car decals and those sign banners that you see everywhere. The heat also causes the bubbles to seep thru after a while.

are you aware that Yamato is working on a 1/60 monster? Also, I think you're talking about Hikaru's fanracer. Tanmen made on at 1/72 and I don't know if it'll be that much bigger in 1/60... how about a 1/48?

what about vinyl, nick? like the car window ones... those are heat activated, just like resin. Once it's on it's stuck like paint, just make sure the surface is clean.

You make a really nice detailed kit or toy, give us the price... and we'll make up the need for it. Just make sure you can make us think it's worth it.

It's not really fair to compare the cost of a product with a higher run with a chance of being reissued to a kit that has a small run, created by people you somewhat have a direct communication with, so you can almost say you know them. If anything the heart that these people put into the booster and any upcoming product is shortchanged. I'm not saying that there's no love given to the creation of the Hasegawas, but it's love that is backed by a much higher profit margin.

That's a whole different cup of tea... Most of the crap RT takes from MW is because it's posted in the wrong place or people troll for some kind of justification even though they know the majority of the people here hate Robotech. It even says not to defend RT or recieve heat in the guides and rules. Skullone took that rule to the heart and that's why he's gone, but what little heat people get now is well deserved. If we were nice to noobies about that mistake they're sure took take advantage. Try not to simplify it with your little quip about paint smears. I get as pissed at crappy Yamato paint as I do with Toynami's.

I agree with what you're saying... if there's a current thread open that deals with similar subjects then I can understand not having another open. If something is already covered in the FAQs. Or if another thread can be pointed that completely answers the question. But the whole M7 thing is ridiculous. Like it or not it's part of Macross and Macross 7 fans should be allowed to speak their mind freely, but around here it gets treated like Robotech, which clearly is not allowed unless it's in the Other Anime Section. There are certain aspects of M7 I happen to like, some I hate. I hate Shin from Maross 0 as much as I hate Basara, but I don't go in and destroy every Macross 0 thread there is. I just avoid the TV/ Movie section altogether now.
