Disney's desperate, they just bought Crossgen, the recently almost demised comic book company.... I can't imagine what Disney would do with a comic book company, not sure if I'm ready to see Soujourn: The Musical...

I'd go with Gollum. His over the top actions helped mask that CG " I can't stand still" look, but when he was in his subtle moments, the acting was hard to believe.

It sounds like general agreement, I think everyone was thrown off by Lynx's statement that the animation wasn't as advanced as FF:TSW. I saw Brad Bird speak before the movie was released and he stated that he asked that the realism be pulled back a couple of notches because it didn't match the look he was looking for, specially when it was written as a 2D film. So even though the realism was avoided, the technical advancements and wonders were there.

for the hips? yes... it's being discussed.

The new stuff so far has been subpar... and the SDF storyline deserves way better animation than what was given it. I wanna see what they would had have in mind if they had the budget to begin with... I know it ain't gonna happen, but I believe that that's what Dat is talking about. Nice CG Dat.

BTW... the other destroid thread reminded me.... I dropped these of at Rohby's. We're looking at ways to make it more playable. The thing has so many joints there's sure to be wear and would end up floppy very soon. I'll keep you guys updated.

Smooth-on.com says to wipe the resin down with acetone (nail polish remover), wash again, let dry over night, then use Tamiya Metal and Plastic Primer. Just found this out myself.... That tamiya stuff is good.

Yeah, I was just looking at that. I guess the studio doesn't expect much from this film or audiences if the a recycling old footage instead of coming up with brand new scenes. Unless of course theya re still "under construction" at the time the this trailer was made. the cut is from a 3D site.... it's a testing clip.

Dash's effect is the best I've seen as far as superspeed goes... before this you can always tell that its some film sped up or the actor is slowed down, but with the help of the interactive environment CG, dash looks like he was running at supersonic speed in real time. The water splashes and trees getting hit was convincing.
