What type of sci-fi/Fantasy do you enjoy... give some examples so so the member's suggestion can be tailored to your taste. If you're talking about complex worlds I'd have to suggest Blade Runner, but I can't believe you haven't seen that. As for anime I'll suggest Last Exile and The Ghost in the Shell series, not the movies. Fantasy = Records of the Loddoss War OVA, definitely, but that's really close to LOTR. And of course the new Battlestar Galactica.

I got the 1/60 Elint and Ostrich cuz I didn't want to miss out on them again like I did with the Bandai. I go my Ostrich now, still waiting for the Elint. The 1/48 versions look less and less likely to happen from Yamato. But we can all still hope.

Kid's was made from scratch, putty and a metal rod IIRC. I didn't answer before cuz I thought you were just asking for a prebuilt part. I can't think of anything that would be prebuilt like that but even if you found it from another kit your still have to shape the base of it to fit on the booster. The tip was done wth some styrene I believe...

I gotta check it out, VOADS was ok as far as the story but the animation was great especially for a one man team.

Yamato makes crappy figures. Remember my Appleseed? I'm wondering if the Scopedog fig will be good, not that I'm getting it. The joints on those BGC figs look loose. BTW, it looks like Yamato is doing the classic BGC and AS is doing the more recent ones.

I have this book... yeah, it's worth it for the SOC fan. It's the only book a SOC fan should have. Suprisingly it has up to date pics of the stuff they released and some they haven't.
