Changing from full version to cellphone version
EXO replied to Ignacio Ocamica's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
There should be a "change theme" prompt at the very bottom left of the page next to the orange RSS feed symbol. Just go back to the "Mobile" version. -
Great episode... none of that classic walking Dead stretching the story along BS. Action and resolutions... glad to see the show back!

When applying Future with a brush or airbrush, apply as fast as you can and leave it alone. If you keep messing with it, it'll start to get tacky and that's when it starts to become a mess. That's one reason it starts to spiderweb. Apply what you have in the airbrush and then refill or clean it out. Water should do in between sessions unless your done, then clean it with some acetone or windex. I bought this cheap airbrush from Eastwood http://www.eastwood.com/gravity-feed-trigger-style-airbrush-gun.html I use it for Future application and wide area spray, so far so good.

Yeah, the paint on that spoon is really good. Also I didn't mean that your paint needed more thinner... I was suggesting a thinner layer of paint because orange peeling is usually from a thick drying coat getting hit by new paint. You shouldn't worry about texture, unless it's obviously ruined, because it's all going to be covered and evened out by clear coats anyway. For Future, I don't follow the same technique. Usually I just mist the surface really quick and then I hit it with a wet layer. Future Floor Wax likes to be applied on thick. that's why dipping it is probably the best way to apply it if weren't masking or if the piece isn't that big. Also I don't use it with any thinner either. But when I need color I just use Tamiya transparent colors....

Tempting... I'm definitely going to paint mine first...

MacrossWorld Convention 2014 Information Thread
EXO replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Murphy, you have all the best stuff on your display! The 1/2000 Macross, 1/60 Regult and the modeling on them were so awesome. I had to remind myself that those things didn't come out of the box like that. I missed the TREX boosters... I didn't have enough time to actually look around this year, I kept getting called away. There was an awesome Frontier display on the other side of my table. Hope to see them again and more next year. -
Actually, now's a good time to just jump in with the new season since the last arc has been finished.

Use acrylic thinner with acrylic paint. Orange peeling usually happens when you hit a thick coat of paint with a drying tacky surface with another coat of paint too soon. The particles of paint hits the surface and creates little craters. It's best to just leave it alone until it dries or dry it with a blow dryer on low setting so you can apply the next coat. When spraying use 3 coats. The first should be just a light dust on the surface. This gives it some texture for the rest of the paint to hold on to. Second is a medium thin coat to cover the surface and the last is a wet coat, but not too thick so it drips. Just look at it and make sure it has a wet sheen. This tells you that it's going to dry with a nice even coat. I usually put the airbrush closer to the surface on the third coat. I try to blow dry each coat so that if dust hits it, it won't stick to a wet surface. Another way to keep your piece clean and even.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
EXO replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Why don't you guys just ignore him and his useless opinions... the fact that you supply him with responses gives him the idea that it matters and encourages more out of him... and no... negative opinions that go against popular ones is not trolling. If this was a thread for one show or series of shows and he was still watching it after a couple of episodes after stating that it was bad, then it'd be trolling. But it's a thread about different anime. -

Yes! Tickets will be sold at the door. -
I photoshopped that pic. The original was too dark (the scan not the blue) so it's not accurate.

Now I feel like watching the first one again.
