you'd think it would be that way, but the lower ones I have are better (ooops I almost typed excellent), while the newer ones including the green, red and shadow are utter crap. The best one I had was one that I bought for a friend in Japan. And it had the turquoise intakes that signified really early release.

They already slated Joe Mad to take over the artist spot for The Ulimates 3. While I love JM's work I think its the wrong direction for The Ultimates. We're talking about ultra realistic vs. super fantasy...

Hopefully it's gonna be cool. It's gonna be based on the Ultimates comic book which was really good. If they can keep up to the quality of the book it should be ok. The book was also gritty, Hulk goes nuts and wipes out a lot of people. So if they don't shy away from the violence then I'm all for it.

I'm pretty much in trouble if I say I'm not an anime fan... cuz one look into my shelves and all you see are giant robots... but I just don't like people asking me what I thought of .hack or Witch Hunter Robin... then they give me the look, what do you mean you haven't seen it? Or aside from the four or five hot chicks in cosplay uniforms in a con, I really just want to punch out every cosplayer just standing there trying to look cool so someone will ask to have their picture taken.

I would guess it's ok to quote an image after several images has been posted after, just to reference it. Biggest problem around here is an image is reposted even though it's already on the site itself... like the damn ThunderHammer... why do people attach that pic over and over? Can't they just post an image link? And it the same people that do it over and over.

That's exactly how I feel about the female Jin Roh, and I'm a huge fan of the combat/warrior girls type thing. The first time I saw it I thought it was cool, but the more I looked at it the more I just didn't like it. Its the same for this Motoko figure. The only reason I would get it would be the shades and the gun, but at that point the price isn't worth it. besides, where am I going to get a 1/6 scale tachikoma?

Alright guys... let's not turn this awful situation into a cause for argument. Vastus... you have to understand that this sort of thing happens all the time. Everytime there's a horrible situation, there are some people that are ready to take advantage of it. I'm not saying it's you. But if someone else sees that we're willing to give money solicited by a member then others will get the idea to do it too, now or some other time. MWers have gotten together before when a member is down in luck, but I don't believe it was ever solicited by that person. It's a heartbreaking situation that has happened in that part of the country, but no matter how bad it is, the message board is the wrong place to turn to. Good luck to you and the other misfortuned people that was devastated. I'm hoping that a mod would lock this thread before it gets out of hand.
