I gotta disagree with the last part Lonewolf. There are plenty of toys out there that get anime face accurately, even on 1/6 scale toys. Even the Toynami busts are closer to Roys face and those seem like they are 1/4 scale (still not close enough though.) The hardest things to get accurate on Mikimoto designs are the hair. Because both sides are mirror images of each other. Whichever side you look at the character the flop goes behind the head. In sculpting these characters, you have to sacrifice one side of the head, usually the right side because in line art they are usually drawn facing to the right. But going from 2D to 3D shouldn't be a problem though if planned out perfectly.

Firefly getting picked up by HBO has as much chance as a snowball in hell... AS much as I want to see Inara nekkid, I'm not really down with full frontal from Captain Tightpants or Jane. Besides they already css in chinese... how would they slip in all the F words? Serenity was a great movie, but overall attendance in the theatres this year was really bad, plus the fact that there were no stars in it that was in the tabloids or ever been Punk'd pretty much killed it. I want my Firefly back in the small screens where it belongs... well, until I can afford a giant screen that is.

It sounds like what John Peters really wanted to see was Appleseed. The only reason for these people to want to make this movie is to cash in on the built in audience. What we need is a superhero that gets rif of lawyers and businessmen from the Hollywood offices. There was a time when the people that ran these places were actually fan of movies.

It's not that easy, NB4M is talking about recasting and you're talking about a scratchbuild. Also, whenever a scratchbuild kit is actually made not as much people really do want to pay for the kit and you'll find people complaining about the price. It's like there's no understanding about the work that goes into scratchbuilding it and the work that goes into the hours and material recasting it. It's hard to balance the fact that you want to be a nice guy and share your talent with the boards and actually making time to that kind of stuff.
