So every week a couple of us get together and outwit, outmatch and outplay each other... (oops wrong game.) So far the regulars are: me Bobe-Pat Eternal D Solscud007 bigkid24 snip312 OtakuSmeghead kirirth We just started about 3 months ago and it turned out to be a lot of fun. I was thinking of having a good size tournament by the time MW Con comes around. Usually the Con is on a Sunday, so maybe Saturday night, if there's nothing major happening, we can get that going.

Was she? In the concert at the beginning of the movie, she refers to it as her "debut." Was this just wonky subtitles? 350236[/snapback] she filled a whole concert hall with people shouting her name. And it wasn't because they couldn't get out of the ship. Also Hikaru asks her about her movie roles and if those kisses were real. So she obviously had came out on TV or films before becoming a recording star. She had dolls made after her...

They didn't really try to hide that fact. But she did win a beauty contest against almost a dozen women, one of whom was already an established celebrity. And she also had a letter to audition or something before she got on the ship. So the fact that she was meant to be famous was already in waiting. On the Macross she was more than a star though, she was the hope of humanity. Also, in DYRL she was a star prior to the launch of the Macross.

Well, you were there at MWCon, when she told us how badly she got screwed with the first series. Based on that, if she didn't work out a sweet deal for herself with this go around, then I REALLY feel sorry for her. I liked the X-Man movies... it wasn't Superman 2 but it wasn't Fantastic Four... I'm afraid this might become F4. But yeah, These movies could be better. I hate the fact that these movies don't accept that they're comic book movies. Instead of it becoming higher brow entertainment like the makers presume them to be, they just become water down versions of the books. Superman got it right. So did The Crow. Spiderman got the suit right too, they just need to tighten up that OC teen romance crap.

Yup that bugs me too... most of the other stuff is nitpicks and just wishing that they're part of the writing team.

The list is pretty accurate, it's just that a little bit of the translation isn't close to the "official" names. I only figured out Love Drifts Away after I saw the title of the episode on the Aneimego set. I've had the cd longer than I've had the DVDs of the show. As for those extra tracks. they're not that great so I don't really care. The only one I want to know what the title to is this one song, which I really like... Anyone know the title? free mp3! right click and download, don't play it off the server bastiches! LMK

Some of the translation here is innacurate, like I think "Angel's colors" is suppose to be "Angel's Paints" and "Love's Flowing" is suppose to be "Love Drifts Away".... Maybe we can make a more accurate list from it.

That reminds me of that scene in Back To The Future where Doc tells Marty McFly "Sorry Marty, I didn't have time to build an exact scale replica of the town square for this experiment" but there was a huge diorama of the city in his lab... lol. Looks awesome to me!

if they stuck to the theme it's "milking the story...", if they switch gears it's "jumping the shark". I can actually take 7 seasons of Galactica because it's more believable that they could go on for generations without reacing Earth. But I agree about Lost pushing too many years a bit much. The Island can only remain so interesting for so long... I'm gonna check out if the Globetrotters ever show up.

It's not like they were pure gold before they got an Oscar. It just means they had that one really good role that got enough attention.

Some of it was good, but yeah, more knocked out drag out fights would be nice for an ending. A showdown between lap Lamiz and Miria and a fist fight between Kamjin and Hikaru's 1J... lol. LDA was such a grand finale, it would have been cool to bare it down to personal showdons at the end. You can tell they wrote the last episodes on the fly, but it's still better than the endings on the newer anime... Gasaraki and EVA?
