Enter a picture of a finished piece of fanart here. A drawing, a model, a custom toy, CG art, sculpture, diorama or whatever you can think of. But it must be a finished piece not a work in progress. You can only enter ONE picture per piece. In the middle of the month we'll have a poll for all entries we can fit in the poll. I'm not sure how many items we can fit in the poll but it's first come first serve. Those that dont make it will be automatically entered for the next month. This must be original art, not a photoshop of some pictures found. Artists can enter themselves or can be nominated. Artists can enter by themselves or as a team. There may be multiple entries from one artist as long it's a different piece of art, not different versions of the same piece. I'm trying to cover everything here, so if I missed something then remind me. This is for pure fun and everyone is invited to enter. No one can ridicule any entries, there will be no critiques because an entry is final once it's posted. Any person found making fun of any entry will be booted from the thread. The winner will have their art or thread linked from the main page, the choice is theirs. So get to it! Let's see what you got! entries should be in by the 15th. We start the poll that day.

I was gonna say the same thing. maybe if you enlarge the skull to fit the circle... and mybe if the colors weren't so washed out and pastelish... you know, keep them primary but yet non imposing. Looks great though. Here's a copy of the skull if you need a better one.

last nights episode was frakin awesome. My stomach was tied up in knots the whole time... both the flashback and the current storyline was freakin me out. That and some good cappucino.... Seriously though... last week's episode was great... this one was awesome.

there's 3 in Ohio, I hate theway the map cuts the markers back to 50. It didn't use to do that, but at the bottom of the map you can click where is says "show 500 members" and it'll reveal a lot more people. You have to do it every time you zoom in.

I feel bad for Hurin and Mechamaniac, while it does seem like a valiant effort that I wanted to support, it seems more it's being set up as MacrossNexus: Where we can be a-holes. Really, it seems like the whole success of Macross Nexus crutches on stealing MW's members away, instead of people making that choice for themselves. It's a neat looking site but they are nowhere near MW as far as content, membership, regular attendance... and updates... yes updates. Articles on the main page arent' exactly flowing. All this stuff is forgivable for a young site, but to trump it as something better then I think you're tooting their horn a little to early, much to their embarassment. The only thing I'm getting right now is that the Macross Nexus forums is where a-holes go to post.

I really want to put a stop to these Toys vs. Models crap. If people are too stupid to understand that Toys and Models are two different things then maybe they should look up the definition of the word "preference". I've bought the models that was available during the "dark agaes" and they were pretty much crap just like the Arii toys available back then. I've also seen Hasegawas that were customized to transform like toys, while they look great, they felt like cheap toys that were about to explode. There's some great customs of 1/48s and 1/55s that were painted like you would a model, but at the price these toys come in, you're not going to see a lot of them. I see a lot of talk in the models forum about how great models are, and that's fine. I'm happy you guys love what you're into. But the fact that you're into these things is the reason why you love them, not because they are "better" in every sense of the word. It seems to me that these few people are trying to compensate for something because the toy people dont really have that problem trying to compare their poo with models. It can't be about skill because there are many skilled people in the toy forum. And that goes right into scratch building too, not just paint and weathering. I think Shawn made a great mistake by dividing the 2 sections, because before everyone just praised or critisized skill on the same level. Now we have a new idiotic rivalry out of nowhere. How many more of those do we need on MW? RT vs Macross. Mac 7: for and against... Playstation vs Xbox, and mac vs. PC. Be happy in your own yard, quit trying to convince your neighbors to live like you.

I did different versions of the kite, with the black lines and the embossing but it just got too drowned out at that size. The funny thing is I posted these a while back and no one said anything(at another board), now that they're up A1 decides they're not good enough. There's nothing like beating down effort when it doesn't cost them anything. I mean if you bitch enough times then you have to be right a couple of those times. And A1 bitches a lot, but never put forth anything at anytime.

I think fanart thats part of Macross fanfiction is ok to post. But fanfiction as far as just stories is not allowed on this section.
