Why do we have to be such nazis over a message board? I looked the topics over and it seemed ok to me. I almost locked the Engrish thread last night before this one popped up, but I figured, since none of the other mods deemed it lock-worthy then I shouldn't either... that's solidarity! What's the big deal anyway? No one is forcing you to look into those topics. I don't get people that think MW will go down to hell in a hand basket just because it's not being ran their way... this isn't burger king.

My opinion has nothing to do with RT fans vs. Macross fans. If HG hired a great toy company to produce their toys then I'd buy those too. IMO the 1/60 are horid. Great quality materials but crappy sculpts and lackluster engineering... much like their 1/72 Mac Plus Toys.

That's nothing but a massed produces custom. It's just a fanfic based toy based on some animation errors. There's a scene where Misa had three arms in SDF Macross... Swear off both Toynami's and 1/60s. Maybe hold on to your 2 seaters but that would be all you need from the 1/60s. The only reason to keep the 1/60 collection would be to have it in scale with the upcoming VF-0 and the Q-raus or any other toys they release in that scale. Otherwise... dump it.

CZJ was freakin hot in Ocean's 12. She'd still make a good choice, but like I said, a famous star for a comic book franchise is a huge mistake. They dont have to be unknown, just not an A-list celebrity that's constantly in the tabloids.

If Honneamise's painting wins this month there's no reason vf_1s' shouldn't be nominated next month, is there? It's not any less good a painting next month. Perhaps rule that you can't enter something for three months after the last thing of yours was displayed, to keep the shuffle going? I don't care if you enter it every month until it wins. If it keeps losing, then that should tell you something about your art! jk this has been already answered. Categories will just complicate stuff... there's one winner per month and the prize is getting your artwork's thumbnail on the main page with a link to anything you choose, the thread or just a bigger version of the art. I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like there's money involved. Anyway, if you guys want to display your artwork without entering it into a contest or if you're looking for somewhere where there's Macross fan art readily available for your viewing, check out the yellowlightman's pinned thread. There's also a voting system there so you guys can vote for your favorite art, if this contest is too simple for your tastes. Next month I'm going to post thumbnails of the entries and that's it. I like WDC's idea but I also want to keep the thread interesting. Thanks for everyone's suggestion.

You can enter it as long there's something about the picture that makes it yours. It's all about composition and originality. Plus you would have had worked on the model too, or else it's just a picture of some guy's piece of art.

Those have been done for a while now, damn recasters.. just sitting on pure gold! I told you that. Any CF head can be opened up, unlike 1S heads. I'm not sure about 1J heads... never had the need to try.
