Saw it... loved it too. Most inventive opening sequence.

they should just release a pilot set. Bastids!

In the first episode of SDF:Macross Roy mentioned that the alien technology would allow them to do stunts in the air that was currently impossible. Then Hikaru and the Zentradi came and screwed up all the demos. But if Hikaru can grab on to Minmay while she was freediving in midair, I believe the VF-0 would be able to catch the gunpod without chasing it all the way down like when the refueling ship blew up. The same way Roy catches the gun when transforming from fighter to battroid in mid air.

This one? haha. j/k. It's just a photochop I did a while back. GutsandCasca asked for a bigger pic. So here it is!

WHAT? This is news to me! Although I'm not a great fan of the 1/100s, These are Macross toys and should be in the macross section.

Wow... I get blamed for stuff even when I was asleep... Man there was this time I got fired on my day off... and I'm not even referencing Friday The Movie... I took the day of to pick up the PS2 when they released it and then I come back and there was this strange asian guy on my desk. And I was like "What are you doing here strange asian guy!?!" And he was like "I'm your boss! And I'm not Asian! And I'm not a guy!" And I was like "That's what makes you strange!" And he was like "You're fired!" And I was like "Fine! This isn't even my desk!" Anyway... I hope not all of Alen Yen's friends are a-holes with crappy review sites. I mean if you really think about it... if the reviews were that great ToyboxDX would host them for you. And I dont really trust review sites that recommends EVERYTHING! Maybe a bad review once and a while would allow me to believe you're not just a fan of mediocre toys.

I'm gonna answer the best I can from what I've read in other places. Dont ask me for source cause this is just what I remember, anyone step in if they know otherwise... the first pic is 1/18 scale with the poseable figure. It's suppose to be die-cast from what was announced way back, months ago. I think there's another thread somewhere. I remember we were joking around calling it the Tachigokinoma. The Think Tank is in scale with the 1/24 Wave kits. As far as I know there's only been one wave kit released. Not the one with the cockpit detail or the thermoptic one shown in that pic. There is no poseable Major Kusinagi for these kits. Landmates were suppose to be released by Yamato... I dont think it was suppose to fit a Deunan inside. It was based on the movie Guges not the comic book. They have since released it only as a resin kit, I dont expect it ever coming out.

I agree that there's a huge difference between the look of the visor, but I always thought that it was anime magic that it became so huge in the space episodes, so they can show the pilot's expressions and mouth movements. Especially since they show connectors on the helmets when the chin guard isnt there... that's one thing I liked about the designs in Macross, everything was thought off so well.

the visor (in the TV series) was used in space along with the chin guard with the collars tucked in (air tight). In atmosphere, the visor was up and the chin guard is off and you see the big ass collars untucked. So he used the visor a lot if you think about it.

Yeah... as much as I want to resist, if they made them well enough I'd get them too. I'm a sucker for the VF-1s.

I agree about that statue. The big smiley tachi with figure is 1/18 scale. So that's pretty big. I think the other tachis and Spidr think tank is 1/24. The statue is 1/7 scale.

That's $155 for the die cast Tachi... hopefully the poseable figure that fits inside comes with it.

Where's the third group that's "OMG! I love their products so much that I am surely going to pick these up."? As a so called premium toy collector, I thought that something named "Masterpiece" would be aimed at me. Not the "I love mediocre toys" demographics. As for skipping on the Cyclones (if they ever materialize) it's for the love of the material that I'm skipping on this, since HG is the owner of the contract maybe NOT buying their products would give them a clue to making better ones or finding someone that can get the job correctly. Of course I'll be checking them out and see if they can totally suprise me with a great cyclone toy but I'm basing my decision on past experience and mistakes. I can only go by what I know... not what I'm hoping for.
