granted both had cheesy source material... man in suit and animated talking robots, but both have so much cool factor if done right. Both are just cases of film makers buying franchises that already have a set audience.

I don't see the big deal about her co-starring with the dude that played Dr. Doom... that guy SUCKED! The designed was weak. That Kelly Carlson looks good, there was also a rumor that Sara Winter from 24 would get the role. I don't really get why you would get someone as hot as Jessica Alba for the role of INVISIBLE woman... or why you would get the director of Barber Shop to direct the fantastic four. Or why you would degrade awesome designs like The Thing and Dr. Doom to something weaker. I saw a post about this somewhere but I think it deserves its own thread. It's an ultra detail EVA toy. Is this really part of the SOC line? If so Bandai is getting ready to unload some nice, very detailed versions of toys they've already sold in the past, including that 1/350 Space Battleship Yamato.

I saw this at the AFI film festival. It was awesome. Neil gaiman fans would be into it. A lot of friends didnt like it because I think they were expecting Alice In Wonderland type adventure in another realm. But it stays pretty much in the real world and the protagonist goes into the labyrinth once and a while. It's a fantasy for adult viewers, very violent and very scary.
