I'm reading what you write and I'm just clueless to your point of defining what "QC" is... so what if people are misusing the actual definition? We all know that we're all just talking about the general quality of the toy. Same with Yamato... BTW: Ginrai, I agree about the quality of Yamato's other stuff. I never got the ones you talked about because they seem like utter crap, but the ones I did get aside from the 1/48s were cursed with problems (Appleseed and GITS figures). And yes it is difficult to understand... "don't give up just yet?" So we should continue to be disappointed and let the fact that they can't get crap right just of yet be enough of a reason to keep buying crap? You're correct, sir... I'm clueless to your meaning... I hope to never understand that way of thinking. Like Js said, a lot of our complaints is based on actual purchase and handling... but people keep passing it off as anti HG BS... I'd buy a ton of HG/Toynami stuff if they got it right because I love the property that they hold license to... but it seems that they cater more to people that love to collect subpar products. Good luck with that.

so since the malfunction of the toy is on the designer's side then it should be no cause of complaint? What's your point? As I see it, the issue here is the over all quality of the product as bought and expected by the consumers. It's funny that semantics is used as a defense and people are willing to lay down for that.

I'd say the definition of quality lies between crappy and uncrappiness. That seems to go well with everything else in the world, why should it stop with toys.

How is the lack of fit and finish not a quality issue? These are transforming toys... shouldn't the pieces fit together whether by design or manufacture? I can see that my distaste for the scale and proportion would be nitpicking, but when it looks like a mess after I transform it correctly, I would say that that is a serious reduction in quality.

Negativity towards Toynami for me is well justified as I've bought the products that I talk about. And I praise the Voltron after handling it. Honestly I don't see how anyone can start a thread about toynami and have it all sunshine and roses. I'd think the world has gone upside down if it did. You wanna discuss toys in a positive manner... how about that 1/6th Aliens power loader from Hot toys. How about that 1/6 scale ED-209. I'm excited about the MP Megatron and I'm not even a transformers fan. There's plenty of toys to be excited about but looking for it in a Toynami thread wouldnt be the place to find it. As for the toy section, I hardly read most of that stuff. I skim thru it as a mod and sometimes I see something that I want to remark on. But let's face it. Yamato's QC hasn't earned the praise that the toys should be getting. The design is awesome but with all the parts breaking epidemically, it's somewhat expected. I love the Yamato toys that I have, but I'm apprehensive to buy them now on first release. That's no one's fault but Yamato's. If the majority of the toys were still being manufactured by Bandai the I would think that the climate would be a lot different. The Mospeada designs are awesome and I get excited seeing them in toy form. That kind of excitement should be carried on when you get these toys in your hand. But over and over when I finally get these POSs delivered I feel like I've been suckered... not a good way to feel after spending so much money and time building yourself up for it. Toys are purchases based on luxury not necessity... I should feel like I spent my extra money well... not like I just wasted it.

oh yeah... what about the freakin gun? How many times did you see Scott use that freakin gun, once or twice? Why dont they make the ones they use more in the damn cartoon? ... that's a general rant againts all the companies that make Mospeada toys... if anything Toynami can get that part right.

I disagreed with you when the Alphas came out I think I just happened to get a good blue one though. But I bought the next ones to come out and they were utter crap... didn't fit, weak plastic, bad paint job. But I thought... well, I'll just get it because they're gonna come out with the Tread/Beta... I might pass on these as I have on Voltron (which looks good) if I happen to hear terribly good reviews then I'll get one. It's really too bad that Toynami has this license because they can't seem to improve designs or make sturdy toys. Yeah, yeah, I heard about poor Yamato QC, but the only toy I have yet to break on me is the Garland. But I love Mospeada designs and wish there was a way to get Yamato-type ingenuity and increase in scale. They should really put swappable lower legs on these so the rider can sit on the bike right. no matter how much they make it shorten those boots are always gonna be too fat. Another thing about the Imai design, where the torso goes in Ride Armor mode... it's all wrong when its a motorcycle. The Gakken toy version has it more correct. The neck opening should be where the radiator is. Keeping it like that just makes the Mospeada bike look ugly.

kiririth's location isn pretty cool. They had 2 rooms with a kitchen in the middle. Plenty of tables and chairs. And if anyone got hurt, there's all the donated blood in the freezer. I recommend the B postitive cuz it looks like the O negatives were starting to curdle.

Meh... if Blockbuster, Netflix and Best Buys categorizes is as Anime then that's what I'll call it. What do I care what some guy in Japan thinks... Except this one gets the "poor attempt at" in front of it.

I feel like people that say that 'it's so bad it's entertaining' are just forcing themselves to enjoy it because of it's remote connection to RT. As I said before, it's just a remake/reimagining of the Sentinels and it'll be exactly the same outcome... just another incomplete project that'll leave the RT crowd sitting around hoping for what could've been. You'd think people woulda learned the first time. Maybe they'll try it again for the 40th anniversary and there'll still be one or two suckers around to buy it, justifying the quality and all that.

And it wasn't me that gave you that imaginary status... and what's wrong with me arguing with you? Mac Zero sucked and I loved RT. Nope... but if I did would it make the Shadow Chronicles a good mech show with a great story? Will I really? So what else do I need to get beyond? The ugly CG, the badly drawn characters and the silly plotline that doesn't follow what it's says it would? I guess if I can beyond that then I might enjoy it... if I can get beyond the fact that crap tastes like crap, then I guess there's a slight chance I might enjoy it... but very improbable since I'm pretty sure it's still crap. which one? Ghost Rider? Again if I waited for a piece of crap like Ghost Rider or the Transformers and I happen to enjoy it, will that make SC a better show or do I still need to get beyond all the obvious reasons? Is that the reason it'll let me down, because I didn't write it? Or is that after I get beyond the said obvious reasons? Nope... can I get a good cartoon now? and if they did use old characters, would it turn out better or would you say it'll still have crappy CG, bad costume design and a not so well written story? no kidding... so that's the sole reason I should enjoy it? Or are you just reviewing it for the people that can get passed all the obvious reasons? Why even review it , if the review isnt for everyone? So the fact that I torrented it and didn't buy it should make it less sucky... got it!

Keith not throwing up is a ringing endorsement? No beautiful CG? Fits right in with 90's stuff (ummm... it's 2007 BTW)... yeah, makes me want to go right out and buy it. Why even endorse it if you can't truly say it's great and worth it. Rent it? I'm suppose to lower my enjoyment levels because I dont have to keep it? Yup... everything I want to hear to make me want to see it. Mediocrity is the new word for endorsing RT stuff. Their toys, their comic books, the never going to be finished Shadow Chronicles. They're all barely passable so give it a chance! You won't get sick!!!

yeah I saw that too. And the wife almost said his first name but the dog started getting on Sylar's leg. Most boring Hiro episode. But Nikki/Jessica tasered the crap out of that lady... good... cuz it sucks that she was willing to tase Jessica and not think about Nikki. Nikki's the one that always gets beat up by the guards when Jessica leaves. Great ending on that part too. Peter's mentor is awesome too, good episode all around.
