Reissues may be down but the vintage stuff has been going up for all I can see. I scooped up an Ostrich and a Strike when they went down after the 1/48s and reissues came out, but the prices jumped back up before I could score an Elint.

I guess we're all on the same boat... A friend has been hinting at me that I'm going to get this, but she's trying to fish whether I'll go blu-ray or HD-DVD... I'm leaning towards blu-ray. I want to wait but I also want this for Xmas... How about we all go blu-ray and push the issue? lol.

I'm with Hurin with this one... though there was comic relief in Raiders, the sequels were a bit too tongue and cheek for me. I enjoyed the third one a lot more than the second one but some of it really kinda messed with the original. To me Sallah and Brody seemed like they were adventurers that had many jobs with Indy. It was almost like there were these sub-culture of people that made a living being bad ass archaeologists, like the three mentioned, Belloq and Indy's dad. But in the third one they made Brody and Sallah such goofballs. It really did seem like they were aimed at kids where Raiders was more meant for the Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Aliens, The Fly, and Highlander type audience. (a few of which had crappy sequels also.) The point is, the last 2 crossed the line between comic relief and goofy for myself. And I'll probably skip this new one. I'm happy with the Indy that I grew up with and don't want to screw it up any further. I got a feeling this is probably going to be as good as Die Hard 4, which was decent... but it just wasn't the same John McLane trapped in the Nakatomi...

The joints are there in the knees, but the problem is that you can't pose it with the knees bent because the design won't let it. I guess any robot where the legs of the rider goes into the legs of the robot would be limited... unless it was a motoslave where the rider's legs are just adjacent to the mechanical legs. But a landmate would have the same difficulties. Plus there's the balancing issues. Overall it's a great toy/model. I'd buy 2 if it wasn't so expensive. I went out and got the ripley by itself too. I never really planned on collecting 1/6 scale toys but this is a must have for me since I'm a huge Aliens fan... all I need is the 3 feet long Sulaco! I didn't get the marines because I didn't have the cash to get Hicks. And if I can't have them all then forget it. (Considering getting Drake for the smart gun though.) And I would make room for a 1/6 scale Queen. I wanted to get the McFarlane one but I hate McFarlane and his crappy toys.

I have takatoys stickers and never had any problem with them. If they keep peeling off then that means the dirt is already on the stickers itself, not the surface. Did you apply and unapply them because they peeled?

If you can solve the problem of big corporations shutting down the little guy, then you'd be one of the very very few. The only way he can probably do it is make incentives for loyal customers and other incentives for new customers. Then as soon as you have a good size clientèle, start being really friendly and treat them right so they'll feel guilty about leaving. And after all that... open a freakin Starbucks in the vicinity and stop renting out videos... problem solved! -

weird... no macross... after all the trouble. -
Totally... In a way he had already saved him by taking him out of there. Putting him back was like being an accomplice to Adam. That's like saving the kid from getting hit by the bus and then putting her back when he found out that she was evil in the future. That was a touching scene when his father said that he never time travelled before though... still not worth the inanity.

Awesome! That's a nice pair of Double D's Kicker!

What you say about them being too powerful is true, and now on top of that they have to ability to revive each other from certain deaths just by injecting regenerative blood. It kinda takes the whole fear from losing a good character. Even if they say Nathan is gone for good, we can be 2 seasons in and they could just bring him back and put in an insert a scene where they took him to a secret facility and shot him up with some stored blood. There's no longer stakes involved. They really really f'd up this season somewhat beyond repair.
