I doubt that... they'd have to be made out of wax to be anything close to the MPC. With Yamato it's annoying... but with Toynami it's forgive and forget for "insert feel sorry" reason here...

Yeah Philips are awesome. Region 0 plus it plays windows files so you can enjoy downloaded animes. Kinda defeats the purpose since I now have my TV connected straight to my PC... nevertheless, a very cool feature and cheap! Philips DVP5960. Has HDMI and upconverts.

There's been so many movies this year where the ending doesnt deliver to a great first 2 acts of the movie, the one that disappointed me the most was No Country For Old Men. Man... that was some of the best viewing in a long time until... 1. No country For Old Men 2. 3:10 To Yuma 3. I am Legend

It bothers me a lot... At the price point I'm expecting at least Yamato type lineart accuracy... which isn't accurate but they only sacrifice a couple of things to get it aesthetically close. I know this is a model but I just want to show how far off it is. If this was produced in the 80s and the pricepoint was what it's fetching on ebay now, I might consider it. But for a brand new toy I would expect more. The type of personal dissatisfaction I have with this toy is why I skipped the earlier 1/60s VF-1s and the 1/72 Macross Plus toy... and why I was going to skip the 1/100 VF-0. And at the end better ones came out... Why oh why did I buy the 1/60 GBP Hikaru!!! Dammit!

They go between $18 and $25 at F&S. The VFs are fricken tiny.

People are angry because they know they will buy it even though they already spent money on previous items. haha. If they weren't concerned with getting it then they would just brush off the news. SUCKAS!

I have a DVD player that upconverts thru HDMI... its the philips DVP5960... just an upgrade of the one we both had before. Plays DIVX and all that other crap. Macross Frontier should have a decent amount of episodes by then too, we can watch that there. Lots of cool stuff to see. Even with just Yamato's new toys coming out we should have a ton of stuff to display. I hope the 1/60 VF-1s will be out by then.

yeah, at night it's slow... ironically, the response I previously posted on this thread took 15 minutes to post. then it was fine after that.

There's too many things that are "off" about this. If it was just one or two things then I might consider it. But I could mention a dozen obvious things that I don't like about it that tells me I wont be getting it.

I've noticed the same thing... I was thinking it was due to the toy news and the new series coming out that we're just being slammed. It's been a while since we've had traffic like this. But it seems like it's still a small amount of visitors compared to other forums.

I'm having the same problems for a week now. Before the search used to be really good here. Now it just pulls up all kinds of random threads.

They took out some features I would guess for durability. The VF-0s swing arm is much smaller than the 1/48's. But scalewise I think it's gonna be a lot smaller. We'll soon see.

In case it hasn't been mentioned "nyan nyan" is the code Minmay gave Hikaru so that he'd know it was her on the phone once she was a celebrity..

I'm seriously psyched about this. I wasn't excited about the revoltech VFs or the Toynami 1/100s or the non transforming Yamto valks... but this... this is makes me check the threads often and I click on the images that I downloaded on my desktop. I remember when someone said they should make these, I was one of the ones that disagreed. They had already came out with the Zero and announced the 19. After I thought they would come out with all 3 valks from M+ and the other Zero valks I completely changed my mind and put this on my wish list. Cross another one off that list! lol. There's another thread that I said they should make a 1/32 scale Alpha and I got these wannabe "market analysts" telling me about the toy market. I'm sure they would have they're fake numbers crunched if I told them that I would love a whole new 1/60 VF-1 line... "market saturated", "already done why would they do it again, it would piss off their customers". Even after dream toys after dream toys such as 1/6 scale Robocop, 1/6 scale ED-209, 1/6 scale power loader, 1/6 scale Appleseed figures... people always try to be experts when it all comes down to one thing... if you make it right, then people will buy it!

I'm not pissed off about the 1/60 2.0 at all! After they kept releasing the new VFs in that scale I hated looking at the few I did buy and kept in the boxes. Thse things are hideoous. I'm glad they're remaking them with the improvements that bugged me about the 1/48s... But as I look at the 1/48s I'm still happy with them. All I wanted was to have all the 1/55s in every scheme, everything beyond this point is pure gravy.

You guys act like the 1/48s were a failure... I have more of these in my house than I have outlets!
