I actually can't wait for the new 1/60 line... I'm a big fan of the "in scale" line, but I'm also a big fan of the deluxe treatment of the VF-1. Man I'm just addicted cuz I have to have the 1/55s also. But when I say "1/48s forever" that means I just want that line to continue too. I'm hoping for the 2 seaters and even more Macross mechs.

With the amount that I paid for the Thunder Hammer (which is a lot more than the Beagle Ride Armor, sorry if that sounds like bragging... I just want to get my point across), I pretty much resigned to the fact that I wont be removing the armor off the valkyrie and I wont be trasforming that particular one. I'm going to get a display case for it and pretty much leave it alone forever. But with the Beagle ride armor, this is something that I would want to transform back and forth over and over again. And I cant just see myself handling a $600 toy, moving parts and clicking them apart... BTW, where's the treading on the tires? I thought I saw them before... I'm so hoping this is a bad rumor cuz I really want it.

I'd pay $600 for 1/4 scale $300 for 1/6 scale and $150 for 1/10 scale at the most... if this is true, I'm gonna have to pass without thinking about it.

I'm surprised someone complained about that and not about how ugly and unstreamlined the megahouse one is... This is something they need to do with the Bubblegum Crisis... make it look more contemporary and not outdated without sacrificing the look of the design. Man... I hope Beagle makes BGC figures with motoslaves at 1/10. It would be a wet dream come true.

I plan to have more pics taken once the decals on the valks and the missiles are painted.... I can't wait to see this baby.

Thanks for all the comments. Yeah, thanks for Eternal D for the hands and fulcy for the magazine scans and head lasers. So much of MW in this piece. This was meant as a one off just for me but when the initial pic was found by someone on this board, I was inundated with PMs about getting recasts. So, I talked to the guy about getting it recasted. At first it was a flat out no. Too many parts, some can't be recasted, complicated molds yadda yadda yadda... If it gets replicated it won't be a simple recast but part recast and part reproduction. He's wiling to do it but he said he'll only do one mold of it. Once that's done then he won't be doing it again. I made a list of the people that initially wanted it and they're in line to get it. PM me if you want in, but get ready to change your mind quick. I'm away on locations, so I haven't seen the final piece myself. Lucky hirohawa gets to handle my Thunder Hammer oh so very lovingly for a little longer.

Like I said... if you build it, they will come... people that say that these properties are too niche can eat it... then buy it... looks great! as I said before the only thing that can turn me off is bad QC... can't wait to get it!

Hi all. I finally have the oppurtunity to have enough of the this finished so that I can post it. First of all, I can't take credit for building it. As some of you know I've been working with an FX company who's been building props for our production company. One of the props dudes saw the scans I have on my desk of the armor and liked it. I asked him how much it would cost for him to build it on a pre-existing toy. At first he was hesitant, but he kept coming back to look at the picture. He's all into Metal Skin Panic and mecha hardware stuff too but he's never seen Macross. So after a while I convinced him to take up the job. By convinced I mean gave him the correct figure. And it's costing me a pretty penny too. So here it is, I hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks to hirohawa for painting the valk and to Solscud007 for taking the pictures. I'm more about watching Robert Downey Jr in this one. If he pulls off Iron Man, which is the other movie I can't wait for, and after Kiss Kiss bang bang... I think he's gonna move up to my favorite actor's list.

now I'm just waiting for a blue-ray version... haha. I could probably hold off on a blu-ray SDF... DYRL has all the detail anyway... Macross Frontier better come out with a blue ray version though...

someone mentioned that there were going to be no more Macross Revoltechs at all before. Maybe this is they're way of continuing the license without the legal issues... Also someone else in another forum said this was a way to combat bootlegging... I don't know how but... maye it makes sense somehow...
