  1. hmmm The Dark Knight opens that weekend, who's down for a late show after the poker game?
  2. Oh BTW it's ladies night, anyone in a Minmay or UN Spacy uniform gets in free.
  3. chunky's win for the fun transformation... Yamato's take too long to transform. But that's about it. The new 1/60's tampo markings are so beautiful. Stickers are now truly optional and I won't be opting to.
  4. I'm pretty sure we need to translate that translation, does anyone speak Babelese?
  5. Yeah, that's a different magazine...
  6. But isn't that mostly the case for VF-1 toys... mwuhahaha... that lineart doesn't show any panel lining aside from the lines below the knee... FTW!
  7. hmmm I was right, the TV-1A uses the 1J type arms! Gotta get those weathered FPs.
  8. yeah... i couldn't figure out how to make it flush... none of us could. I'm sure it's simple but no one wanted to force it.
  9. he was joking... That article was full of non-information... except for the fact that they're making another VF-1... lol.
  10. no the box is deeper, but it's not as big and every inch is used inside, not wasted like the 1/48. I guess they got rid of the retard that designed that monstrosity.
  11. Whoah! JasonC selling off his 1/55s? That's like a lion quitting meat. Romeo quitting Juliet. BobePat not being cheap!
  12. exactly, when you have a line that consistently sell out eventually... no matter how unpopular, you can pretty much set the price for it. People are blowing out Angelbirds and VF-0As now, but when the completists realize they didn't buy them for their collections then those are the ones that go up to ridiculous prices. Remember how they couldn't get rid of Max 1As in the beginning? Then after a while those were going for as much as the Low Vizs until they finally rereleased them. I heard that the exclusives are being done to mess with the bootleggers or people that "take the extras from the backdoor of the manufacturer's warehouses". I don't really get how that works, but it sucks for us collectors. In a way doesn't that help them? If they can steal the extras and sell them at "exclusives" prices then they are getting the better end of the deal, I say.
  13. Yamato, CMs and Kaiyodo knows that this a specialty market. Even if Macross was open to North American consumers, these toys arent packaged like they are going to Target or Wal-Mart. That being said we can still pick and choose which toys aren't worth the money they are charging. But considering that the transforming toys are over $130-$200 then you can't really say that the price on these are disproportionate. Yamato's VMF action figure series are $75... now mind you are just action figures. Wave's Appleseed figures are $90. GITS and Appleseed don't even have a restriction outside of Japan and if you check out BBTS or TMPanime... that's still the going price. Megahouse's mospeada toys are pretty good at $60, but if you really think about it, slap it on a blisterpack and out it in Target and you wouldn't pay $20 for it. Actually I would, but the average consumer would pass it up for a $7 Marvel Legends Spider-Man figure or something. Oh yeah, try finding a Max Q-Rau now for retail...
  14. I'll be the one dabbing toast on her boobies...
  15. It's bigger, more poseable and tighter joints plus a poseable figure? I'd say it is.
  16. Face looks weird... But I love the bike and figure. thanks magicspoon! oops I mean Thanks Anavel!
  17. fo' shizzle mah nizzle...
  18. only one Yamato valk? does... not... compute... error... error... erorr...eror....eeror
  19. depending on the price I might take you up. Or for the price of a regular 1/48. PM sent.
  20. Robotech III: Battlecry Harder
  21. PM sent!
  22. Looks like a weathered 1S- Hikaru and a TV 1-A Max.
  23. I hope they don't leave the crotch like that for the final. I agree, it's beautiful enough for me to buy one, but QC will tell me whether or not to buy more. But I'm not gonna complain just yet.
  24. I dont mind a VF-1 toy that has legs that detach as long as they stay on when it's reattached. The older 1/60 fails at that. The funny thing is that the VF-0 has a swing bar but they didn't take advantage of that with the toy.
  25. Just got back from Frank and Sons. I'm surprised by this but after kiririth and I spoke to them it sounds like they are really interested in coming to set up shop at the con. We talked to Vince, Yoshi, Treasure Island (I know these guys' online shop get a bad rap but their booth at F&S is very good and competitive). That filipino guy with the TRANSFORMERS stand and Carl, my friend that has a lot of vintage he wants to get rid of. Not to mention Mindy from AnimePunch will be there with "stuff". If there are any dealers here that want to bring goods, email kiririth. There's no cost at all. AND YES!!! to the people that have PM'd me about the Mikimoto sketch... It actually says Macrossworld on it!!! Oh man... I want it!!!
