Kinda underwhelmed. Everything was fine except for the fact that there wasn't any fighting... all the fight scenes were the old "let's move in on each other" and cut to dramatic poses at the end. Hopefully this isn't how the entire series is gonna be, but if so... I can't watch. It seem that they did it more to censor violence than as an artistic thing.

HG trying to reach the original creators is like reporters trying to reach Brangelina to ask her about her new kids... you know they're not gonna pick up, but "we thought we'd try anyway". Why would Kawamori and company even entertain the idea? They already have free control of their own material that can be realized a million times better. If HG can afford to prouce something like Macross Plus, Macross Zero, Frontier or even Seven... you think they would come out with something like Shadow Chronicles? HG couldn't even afford to bring it out as a series as planned, instead their fans are getting some movies bound to end up like the Sentinels, unfinished. I'm sure Tommy Yune fears the day they do pick up the phone and decides to work for them... cost and creative-wise. HG can't afford Kawamori much less a whole crew that can bring them a good series...

I want all SDF and DYRL items in 1/48... could care less about the rest. VF-1s, Destroids, Qraus, figures( human statuettes, Zenrans and Meltrans action figures), SDF... maybe not that one (well maybe just the bridge)... cars with the double wheels in front, Glaugs, Regults, N-Gers. I wonder how the Cheyenne scales up with the VF-0...

people don't really add shipping and all the stuff they spent for resin side covers and hands, paint for some customizers and shelvers and all that... lol.

The Animated Series Extras are better than the actual featured shorts. I'm only slightly impressed by the Work With The Pain segment because it had good art and not so cliche dialogue. I think part of the joy of watching Batman is having him go thru the steps and trials of catching up to his enemies and then kicking their butt. Which you can't really get from a short then the animation wasn't that great, but the dialogue is painfully bad in these. In the first one the backgrounds were amazing but the character designs were hideous. Not to mention that it was ridiculous how the action followed the three storytellers.

I don't know about knights or messiahs, but what about the fact that they employ Kawamori and the talent that is the creative force behind Macross? The people that actually have bled what we, as fans clamored over. Not people who sit around and expect a piece of the pie or pump out muck like Shadow Chronicles. How has Big West been the speed bump to bringing people Macross Frontier when it's them that sold the license to Bandai? As far as we know Big West has settled for the Japan market and is still able to produce better toys and and better shows. What has HG done with it's Robotech license and it's distribution rights for the rest of the entire world? As I said over and over, I loved Robotech as a kid and if they were able to match that level of excitement with the stuff they're coming out with now then I'll be behind them 100%. But the crap they expel towards their fans now is kinda just insulting. I'm glad Toynami found their place is the toy world as a distributors of Japanese produced toys. That seems to suit them better than being the designers.

You only need to say one of two things to get me there... "boobs" or "tshirts form Overdrive". I'm so happy that we're getting the tshirts... but somehow there's a part of me that is disappointed you didnt say the other thing... but heck yeah! I'm there!!! seriously though... you only need to say it... SAY IT!!!!

I can't imagine Yamato not coming out with a Virgin Road version... given their willingness to bleed the mold... which is good. The one thing I can say I don't like about the 1/60s and not just the VF-1s are that the pilots are too stubby... 1/48s FTW!
