  1. ugh. so far behind on these toys. looks good drifand!
  2. Hmmm looks like it was closed because of the whole Tommy Yune incedent and people insisting on talking about. But It's over 60 pages which means it should be in the hall of topics anyway. So if anyone starts a new thread it'll take over that one. And once again this would begin the speculations of would be legal speculators of MWers that watched too much Ally McBeal and Boston Legal.
  3. Denzel would be too expensive and Snipes would be too annoying... But Denzel's sidekick Chewitel Ejiofor would have been perfect.
  4. For the last time! This thread isn't about the licensing issue! It's about how the Robotech movie will suck! Har de har har... sounds like something my gramma would say...
  5. I didnt say stop... just do it in the appropriate thread...
  6. Again... not a licensing debate thread... we've heard all this already!!!
  7. Cheadle is a great actor... I much prefer him... but yeah, it's annoying to the continuity.
  8. Sat 10-25!! Be with us as we welcome very special guests Steve Niles, Sarah Wilkinson, Tommy Kovac and Gilgrim! Steve Niles is credited with single-handedly reviving horror as a viable genre in comics and in movies - not just your usual slash and torture porn - Steve's stuff is stylish, filled with great characters and stories, and superbly creepy on top of that. He is best known for 30 Days of Night, the modern classic in which a horde of vampires visits Barrow, Alaska during the frigid winter, when the sun sets in November and does not rise again until December. He's a scary dude, man. Sarah Wilkinson is the illustrator of the Topps Card series Revenge of the Sith - the Artist Sketch Cards. Judging from the volume of work we've seen from her, she's hella busy alla time. Tommy Kovac is the creator of Stitch, Skelebunnies, and Autumn, and is currently writing Wonderland comics! Tommy's Wonderland is a beautifully turned-out book, re-visiting Lewis Carroll's ideas in new ways - though Alice is nowhere to be seen, this Wonderland is a wonderful treat. Gilgrim is the creator of The Cemetarians - a ragtag group who band together to take on whatever surreal or supernatural related task you might think up - for a nominal fee, of course - they need the money. Our guests will be with us from 4pm until 7pm, and we'll also have a Costume contest with 3 prizes - one for Adult, one for Kids or Teens, and one for Little Kids (6 and under). Add a FREE raffle, and you've got yourself a party, fanboys and girls! Be with us to celebrate our 10 great years of serving the comics community, punishing evildoers, and fighting a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way! http://www.metrohero.com/index.php for more info...
  9. I'm not a big Terrence Howard fan... I thought he was just to "soft" for the part. But I hate it that they changed actors.
  10. those are 1/60s... ver. 1
  11. For both and even some Megazone, you should get this: B-Club Special : Artmic Design Works http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/misc_artmic.htm
  12. are they gonna sell these?
  13. I just reread my own post and... yup... RT the movie is just a bad idea...
  14. So the message here is: embrace Robotech now, if you know what's good for Macross. Honestly, I don't care what it does for Macross. I honestly dont think it'll make a good movie. I can't remember the last time I liked a lawrence Kasdan film... Raiders? in 1981? It wasn't even his story, he just wrote in screenplay form. Silverado was only OK. I heard the Big Chill was good, but again... 1983. But if they can churn out a great giant transforming movie, I wouldn't be against it. But honestly, I'm hoping they don't try to do the Macross saga unless they can do it without any compromise. I'm hoping they do a whole different story and just use the name Robotech. I woud hate to see some Americanized version of the VF-1 and some weird rehash of the Micron vs. Zaentradi story. Either they do it right, (I don't care if is name is Hikaru or Rick, but as long as we can geek out on all the mechs as we love them and is told really well.) or don't even try. And I know they cant do the first so hopefully it's the latter and we see tobey as Scott Bernard in the fast and the furious version of the Mospeada bike.

  16. Wow. Flashback to last page... http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?s=&a...st&p=674423
  17. DYRL was English... Frontier was Engrish.
  18. SC is just Sentinels redux... if they didnt get it then what makes you think they're gonna get it now? As long as they have the license they'll bleed Rick Hunter passed death, or anything that's related to the Macross Saga.
  19. I'm pretty much done with anything NOT SDF or DYRL... Everything else I bought that's from the sequels has been lackluster after I open the box. I'm so happy with the new 1/60s though. I'm really excited about getting the Destroids. Now I wish they would bring us enemy mechs and the Macross.
  20. Avatar has already been filmed. It's the reason why Shymalan's live action version of the Avatar cartoon is going to be called The Last Airbender.
  21. The Froating head has truly gone lucas on us.
  22. Well he didn't put any effort to the role of Peter Parker... so he should be available 100% to his Robotech producing duties. hachacha!
  23. it's not my thread... it's bobepatts... can't blame me this time!!! woohoo!
  24. I think, thats pretty much what we're gonna get.
