Die cast doesn't really entice me... a few necessary pieces that especially thin or small maybe but everytime I see major pieces in die cast in transformable toys now, it usually doesn't bode well. Also in today's market where unlicensed "third parties" are out designing some official pieces, you'd really expect something that cost 25,000Y to be at the top of their game. You can't just cheer outright as much as you can't just start hating out of the gate... but criticism is natural.

That's what they do but why not put the female part on the chest piece? It's already jutting out and then put those massive tabs on top? I don't think the quality will improve much like they did from the first Macross Plus toys from Yamato to the v.2 VF-1. But the price is certainly modernized! lol. I was really hoping this would come from an unlicensed "Third Party" so that even if he quality was lackluster, the price would reflect it and I'd be satisfied with it as a display piece that I would never play with. At the same time though, I'm glad BW will get their share. At this point you really can't complain but it's still early enough to maybe point out eye sores. Wait til the color sample comes out!

Those tabs on the top of the pieces that jut out bother me a lot... why couldn't they put it in reverse where the tabs are on the back piece? Right now it reminds me of an early Yamato toy or a present day Toynami Masterpiece (are those guys still making toys or just plushes and vinyls? ).

I think Max can get behind these dental floss G-Strings... Honestly, if I didn't stock up on the original flight pose stands I'd be getting these. It's especially a great deal when you can display 3 valks on one base. Maybe I'll get one of those stickers soon to show some support!

The production number for this piece will probably be even lower than Arcadia's more obscure Macross toys, so the price will reflect it.

Not a fan of the execution either... not on par with other 1/60 toys or even some third party TFs and MP line. But as the others are saying... I'm glad someone else is throwing their hat in the ring for more Macross toys. Would definitely be interested in a VF-2SS SAP just to display in fighter mode.

I agree... The only thing bad about Affleck's costume was the stupid S&M zippers and straps, otherwise it looked good. Man... Matt is so beat up in every episode... I don't even think John Wick looked as bad as him and he was hit by an SUV. The hallway scene was good but the coreography was a bit sloppy... it does get better with every epidoe though. Couple more episodes to go.

But after decades of having shows based on comic books, tv has always avoided the true nature of their source material. i'ts always been the light version or the not just there storyline, like smallville where they threw everything from the superman books but superman himself. Perry White, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen comes to Smallville?It's not onky until recently with the success of the movie versions that tv has been more open to the tone, storylines and the cross universe nature of the characters. 1 more sleep!!! Woohoo! BINGE WATCH DAY TOMORROW!!!
