  1. At least with Yamato, when they give you the price, they don't increase it right before they release it... OOOH BURN! IN YO FACE HG/TOYNAMI!!!

    Isn't Philadelphia in Singapore?
  3. I always thought there should be a print section in the MBS forums. I guess there should be a merchandising area in the toy/models part too.

I won't be buying minty white toys from eBay for a while... especially from singapore and great britain...
  5. Hopefully I can make it this time.
  6. See... even Graham can't follow the news... these dedicated threads for Macross Toys are kinda ridiculous... I don't think the stand alone has been released, just the FP ones. Are they even going to package a VF by itself? Did they do that for the original 1/60s?
  7. could be to make transformation easier... not sure though, just a guess... don't care, still not getting these.
  8. great... then we'll have a thread dedicated to where ALL the new stuff. And we'd all have to dig thru that thread.
  9. i went ahead and unlocked it. Don't know why it was locked but looking forward to the build up. Just FYI, no mods is officially in charge of any forum. we just happen to divvy up in a way that seemed to make sense. No go forth and modelize! I just made up that word! woohoo!
  10. I know MW loves the one thread thing a toy and as a mod I should enforce it... but man... I hate looking at a 50 page thread and finding out that there's a new toy announcement. I like seeing a new thread heading and thinking... WTF!!! 1/60 Hikaru VF-1S is coming out soon??? the news at the end of this thread is kinda lackluster. so anyway... WTF!!! 1/60 Hikaru VF-1S is coming out soon??? woohoo!! where's my 1D?
  11. Really? I didnt realize Nick had a bromance with Roy Focker... good photos...
  12. prolly tony... haha
  13. considering that a $600 would usually consist of 3 or 4 macross toys, I'd say it's impressive. But you're right, I don't pay full price for the figs in that pic, I'll probably never have a complete collection.
  14. I've dealt with angolz before. They're really helpful. I couldnt find a good source for Range Murata artbooks so I emailed them and they got me the whole set at retail price when they were going for 3 times on ebay. Man, that pic of all the CMs ride armors look so freakin cool. I want them all!!! Then replicate it with a Beagle collection! the thing that kinda worries me about the Toynami version is whether or not the face in the helmet will match the new face sculpt they're gonna include. I hope they thought of that already.
  15. petar, have you tried kneadtite or procreate instead of milliput? (also, MJ, Yamato i already releasing 1/60 ground crews with their destroids.)
  16. I just got my Tomahawk and man... this is just too awesome... kinda disappointed still with the no tampo BS but the detail is just insane. I like the fact that they included crew also. Here's a pic of a 1/60 crewman next to my 1/48 Roy. Roy looks gigantic because at 7'2" (actual) he's a giant even next to other 1/48 figures.
  17. It'd be interesting to see a website like this... I'm just wondering how long you can sustain updating it with such limited materials for a niche subject. Maybe extending the subject matter to anime bikes to include FF Cloud's bike and the Blassreiter motorcycles... BTW... Revoltech is coming out with a line of figures and vehicles and I believe one of those is a transforming bike.
  18. haha, I love it.
  19. That my point though. He couldn't avoid killing people that he couldn't or already had sex with...
  20. Yeah, only the space pilots have the backpacks. I'm so jealous of the detail you get, I saw your Star Wars stuff at the MN forums and I knew you'd end up making macross ones. I'm currently making 1/48 figures for myself and I can appreciate any detail you get at 1/72.
  21. I dont think the plot was confusing but a lot of Bond's actions were. He did things that were border line retarded. Even his motives were confusing. He felt betrayed by Vesper yet her memory is enough to make him go into some unstoppable rage across the globe. he couldn't avoid getting people killed, people that were integral to his investigation, fellow spies on his side, friends.. but he was really good at saving that one hot piece of ass and even got her revenge fulfilled for her. I suspect that he had more invested in Olga than he ever did in Vesper and for no reason whatsoever... And HOW did those clumsy mofos from Quantum keep themsleves a secret all that time? I'll tell you how... no one cared. They could have used Get Smart's Cone of Silence and hid their agenda better than that retarded conference over bluetooth. I really like Craig as Bond but these plot lines are kinda inane.
  22. There's two types of TV pilots you can sculpt. There's the ones for athmosphere and there's the 0-G type. Atmosphere ones have no chin guard, and no backpack. And the collar is out. 0-G has the chin guard, visor closed, backpack and the collars tucked in.
  23. i wouldnt mnd a 1/18 VF-1, the problem would be stopping at one.... It just an insanity that doesn't stop at one...
  24. A lot of guys here, including me, Save and jenius would vouch for Overdrive. Even if the mistake already happened they'll fix it. Oh sorry... dont mean to speak for the other guys... I'll vouch for them.
  25. I was going to say too... I wasn't serious about the whole if they can do it we can too. A lot of those foreign directors seem like they're talented and have fresh ideas but when you bring them into Hollywood and give them a decent budget, they usually choke... *cough*John Woo*cough* And Eugimon is right. I like watching Ninja Scrolls. It's a fun movie. But it's not an impossible task to retell the story in live action. You just have to muck thru the hacks and poseurs. That's the real challenge.
