Well in the reports, they said that Rhodey had a bigger part in the first movie, but was drastically cut down due to how bad he was. He was the highest paid actor in the movie and turned in a lackluster performance.

Actually it doesn't... none of those guys have ever been in danger of being suspended or banned. Trying to create anonimity between members and mods after you just been suspended is just being a poor sport. Id advise getting over it.

For most members here that are worried about how they are going to present it to their wives, I think this thing should vibrate. For me... just like any Yamato toy, no gimmicks... and down to only one part that breaks (unless that's a gimmick too...)

That pretty much sums up my argument for liking the original designs, both of them. Transformers was so bad, they remind me of those figures they sell in the swapmeets, Predator, Robocop and Aliens made up of junk parts. I'd buy both TV and movie version if they sold them.

Yeah, I've been trying to clean it up by removing non relevant posts, sometimes I leave it up long enough for them to get a reply. When you delete a post, the member might try to repost just to get a reply or if I move it they won't know where to find it. So I thought it'd be better to just leave it up for a while... But as you can see all irrelevant posts end up on this thread.

At first I thought he was wrong, but recalculating it, he appears to be right. Presumably the quarter is 1/4th the size of the Macross. So at 1/2000 the quarter is 6", but if the toy is half the size of the Yamato toy that would make it 1/1000 at 1' tall... so if the "presumed" measurements are correct then he would be correct that the scale would be 1/1000.

I liked it... the slomo was a bit too much on top of the slow pacing. Coulda been better at 2 hours.

LOL, dont worry, this may be the best MWCon yet... first of all it's gonna be thrown in conjunction with the UCLA anime club, so there'll be enough college girls to throw them off from the scent of your yung'un there RazorX... But were talking about having a live band again, hopefully giant dioramas, more rare toys and collections. We're looking into guests but being in Cali and most of the people involved in Macross is in Japan... well we'll see. In all cases, it's sure to be a bigger con this year. i agree, though I think at this point they dont want too many 1/48s sitting on the shelves for too long. Why make a bunch that would eventually go on clearance when they can make exactly the amount that will be bought from factory at a higher than retail price going directly into their bank?

If you guys look into the history of what kits the Captain has actually made, you'd realize that none of those things would ever be made by him. The demands for those models made in resin would be unsuprisingly low, and there's a gap that the Cap is trying to fill in the 1/72 world that those mechs don't belong in.
