It's most likely that and people putting in multiple orders to secure theirs and others that are genuinely enthused about a line that'll encompass more mechs than VF-1s. I think ones we learn what the price point is for the enemy mechs and Destroids, that's when the dust will settle for a little while. A lot of people won't get one or the other unless it's a lot less than the VF-1s depending on the size of the toy. But prepare for those toys to go up in price once they're not available anymore.

Avengers: Age of Ultron, in theaters May 1, 2015
EXO replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Tony Stark gets done a lot. He was done with the military contract in the first movie and switched his attention to the Iron Man project. In part 2 he was done with Stark Industries completely and gave it to Pepper. Even if he got the "farm house" with Pepper, he wouldn't be able to sit there enjoy it... you know he'll be in the barn making more armor and spying on everything his allies and enemies are up to.- 398 replies

EXO replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Awesome! We're gonna get the Russo Bros. Avengers earlier than 2018! that's a huge cast but it's basically going to run across 4 movies so I'm fine with it.- 445 replies

I'm already complaining about my replacement parts...

You might want to use some sort of vinyl paint or some bumper coat as a primer. You can buy them at the Auto store. Duplicolor has some. SEM makes better ones but they are more expensive. Acrylic reacts badly with the runner material. Also, those type of paints are more flexible. Your paint will crack later on without the proper undercoat. You can lay acrylic over those paints afterwards... should be ok.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a good version of a toy to come out first. There are some negative comments but people see those and they totally miss the constructive critisms. Giving up and settling for a mediocre toy at that price before it even comes out... that's kinda weird to me.

Finally... someone gets it...

Wan definitely doesn't need Robotech, but Robotech needs someone like Wan, even just using the name as a potential helmer can generate some buzz to the franchise. It's a lot better than the nobodies that they've previously tried to hype up. Like I said before, maybe on this thread... those names were just using Robotech to show they're attached to something in able to get other movies. Now it's the other way around. The studio throwing a name like James Wan gets major investors interested. Attaching a name to a movie makes all the difference *cough, cough, scarlettjohansson, ghostintheshell, cough, cough* They'll use the Macross storyline because that's where the most memorable names are. Who the hell are Rand, Rook and Lunk?...The one character I'm wondering if they'll actually use the name of is Minmay. Also the Zentraedi was the best explanation for giant robots. That was the one thing that made Macross great... things actually made sense. But then again it's being written by the people that wrote The Immortals. YAWN!!! As for the VF-1s and other designs, even if there weren't any licensing issues... a big Hollywood film would never use the same designs because then they'll have to share merchandising with the license holders. It doesn't matter who owns them. HG or Big West. Remember Hasbro Studios is one of the production companies for Transformers and even they didn't use their own designs.

James Wan is one of the most sought after directors in Hollywood even before Furious 7. His numbers are probably better than any director right now as far as profitability. Saw 1.5m production budget/55m domestic haul Insidious 1.5m/55m Conjuring 20m/140m Insidious2 5m/83m The return of investment on his movies are incredible... compare the percentage of profit to someone like Micheal Bay... Bay only doubles the production costs in profit only on his Transformers movies, his non TF movies are either flops or barely recover their budget. Most... his earlier movies did well.

Everyone that wants a smaller 1/60 should just stick to the 1/60s... shrinking them down to 1/100 would just make them brittle. You'd think those people would know that by now. Plus Enemy mechs FTW! I wonder if we'd get launch arms for display stands... lol.

Hmmm... Maiden Japan from Toynami leaves for Japan next thing you know a bunch of 1/100 displayed there... lol... kidding!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man... guess I'm the only one digging this stuff... Glaug!!! Hopefully this one doesn't get stuck on a boat, somewhere.

The battroid mode suffers though when the rear section is that skinny. The 1/48s have those ridiculously skinny arms.
