Bigger names? Terrence Howard was the latest new thing in Hollywood when they casted IM1. He had just starred in Crash and Hustle and Flow. I still believe that he just wasn't good enough for the role. I don't see Gwyneth bowing out of her role if she was screwed as he was allegedly. Besides, the director is a famous actor, why would he let other actors get treated unfairly. That article was total publicity smokescreen.

I don't think there's an advantage for us renting a cinema. We have access to different projectors and can set up screening rooms but I wouldn't know what we would screen. We probably have seen everything out there individually and screening will take up too much time from getting to know your fellow Macross fans. If there was something special that we would love to show Macross fans then maybe it'll be worth making a screening room, such as an early copy of the Frontier Movie. And yes. Make sure to bring money for parking and food.

Well, it's nine dollars to park... or free parking if you can find a street spot and don't mind the walk. But that's UCLA, not the con. Plus this year it's buy your own food. There are several restaurants just outside the rooms, so you can choose what you want to eat... no mandatory Costco pizza!

Interesting... in the artmic book, nothing in the lineart section. But at the back, in the box art sections, all the details are there. Stick, Fuke and Yellow have the black and white markings and Ley DOES NOT. In all the graphics. It seems pretty consistent that Ley doesn't have the black and white. UGh... looking thru the lineart again.... Ley's bike DOES have the B&W markings... stupid stickers...

you'd think it would say "Y.Belmont". Maybe it's something they did themselves.

I still like the markings on... I'll probably make templates to paint those in.... No stickers for me.

I remember they were quoting the same price for the Beagle Mospeada also... I'm just going to wait for actual figures to show up. I don't think any toy that size wuould cost that much. Sure it's big for a Macross toy but I've seen bigger toys go for much less.

I've been to those RT panels and it's the same thing everytime... the history of Robotech... the tired old story about how and why 3 cartoons had to be joined into one. The upcoming products and shows. But then when you ask them questions... they have no answers what so ever. If you ask them about toys, they have no idea... ask Toynami. What about the cartoons... no idea, we have to ask the animators. What about the movie, we can't talk about that but we'll tell you as soon as we find out. And everyone claps at the end! Weeeee!!! It's as if they're all waiting for the moment something will happen and they'll show the world it's worth waiting for. But there goes the MPCs veritechs... that's not it, keep waiting, just watch... there goes the Alphas... thats not it... keep watching... there goes Shadow Chronicles.... ummmm... close but no that's not it either... It was awesome for it's time, but I doubt it would carry over well now. Hell, I can't even watch Independence day. The girl with the Machine gun is the resistance leader, which I think is probably going to be closest to Elizabeth's Mitchell's character. It seems like they changed the characters but kept the roles similar to the original. There's a TV reporter played by Scott Wolf, which in no way would be similar to Marc "The Beastmaster" Singer's rogue field reporter. The camera he uses is not that much bigger than the ones reporters carry now. But probably a lot heavier. I'm sure he'd be a lot more comfortable with a camera hidden in his baseball cap, a la 20/20 though....lol.

That's really what it takes to continue on with Robotech. It's like being a fish who's lake just dried up... the lack of breathable oxygen is making him delirious and he has to make it to the next puddle just to breathe easy again. Hopefully for them the movie comes out, if not, you're just swimming in mud until the whole thing finally dries up.

The other Jason, kidkorrupt, said that while his head fits in the helmet, there were screws that needed to be padded and kept sticking to his head. I doubt my big'o noggin will fit in one of these...

Man, how the hell do you search a show called "V". Good thing I remembered Elizabeth Mitchell is going to be in this. Anyways. This project sounds more interesting as it'll have a set beginning to end. And it'll only have 13 episodes per season. Seems like a good way to keep up quality (assuming it's good to begin with). I've always liked the idea of mapping out the whole story and sticking to it, though they still have to write it.
