usually... but what time? No one knows... a good guess would be between 11:30 and 2.

Just as a reminder... this weekend will be the deadline to get your order in so I can get your exact size if you want a shirt. I'm accepting online orders to be shipped out. But if you show up at Con and there are no shirts your size, please don't complain to me. $20 per shirt.(PP fees may apply) Flat rate shipping of $6 to domestic USA only. International is extra. The ladies T's are doable at $30 each. I haven't recieved an order for that, just inquiries, but I need a minimum of 6 to make the run. Thanks!

Thanks for trying.

would like to know what the "won't be cheap price is first" but this sounds like a good project.

I get it Burton... You're one cooky guy. A bit repetitive... crazy hair Johnny Depp... Anorexic faced Bonham Carter... everything ending in a spiral... woo, freakin' hoo.
-
The fact that you have that as your name doesn't give you a free pass to insult other people's projects (calling it stupid) .As soon as you can do better maybe, maybe even not then. Don't make this thread about you. Move on.

I don't see how the novelty for something like this wears off. I think he saw the post on the 1/2000 thread that said they don't know where it was posted and he decided to repost it. I don't see what the big deal is. If you don't like it, click on the back button and move on.

SCRATCH BUILD MACROSS Armored Factory and Maintenance Bay
EXO replied to MaveRick's topic in The Workshop!
Maybe if I sell like 10000 T-shirts! haha. hey Maverick, thanks for sharing this project with us. -
you really couldn't make it all plastic for some reason because the articulation wouldn't be as good because the armor would hinder movement.

Up until Iron Man... The Crow was the best Comic Book/ Super Hero movie ever made. Well... Superman was great also. Thank goodness Sam Raimi didn't get his B-Grade mittens on Batman.

The whole bike? I'll PM you but like I said I might keep the hip covers. Well, while we're at it... If anyone wants to sell they're Beagle version for cheap PM me too. As for the rider, the cloth is there to maximize articulation. If you take it apart, the upper leg cover slides up and down in order for the bulky lower leg to move as much as it does, especially in ride armor mode. It really is a good design. But like others I didn't like the looseness of the cloth and I especially didnt like that it was red in the leg. Another thing was the cloth that was visible below the crotch armor.. It just didnt look right. Like I said though it's all part of the articulation issue. I modified mine so it'll look exactly the way I want it. I'm going to buy all four and do the same to all of them. I'm so psyched about having these and having them exactly the way I want them. I swear I'll take better pics as soon as I get a better camera.

Just checked it out on youtube... didn't know there was a new series. Looks better than the last MTV incarnation. I think they're a bit late on the whole baggy pants thing. I gotta throw my vote for the Amazing friends. That had great animation and character design. Watching Iceman on his ice sled was cool and Firestar was hot. I even loved the theme song more than the 60's one. The theme song was the only thing good about the 60 version but it looked like ancient flash animation. I enjoyed those too, like the Captain America ones, but Saturday mornings with the Amazing friends was the best.

one part of it came damaged. then I damaged it further... haha. I'll probably keep the hip covers to replace Rey's so I can have the black and white stripes on there.
-
I might piece mine out... but I need to get a japanese version to replace it first. If anyone needs parts PM me and I'll try to reserve that piece for you.

SCRATCH BUILD MACROSS Armored Factory and Maintenance Bay

so how do we get this to show off at MWCON??? -
I wouldn't build a diorama around the 1/2000. I'd build a shrine.

Official MacrossWorld Con 2009 Information Thread
EXO replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I think that would be pretty awesome. -
I might be able to get Ladies baby-Ts, sizes S-XL. But I have to have a minimum of 6 orders at $30, only because it requires a seperate setup! Stay tune for confirmation. updated the final design on the first post.

I was watching Science of The Movies last night and they showed how Gentle Giant makes their 1/6 movie figures by scanning the actors. I think Hot Toys is hand sculpted right? The figure looked like the annoying host but the Hot Toys and Enterbay faces look more alive.

The 1/60 bridge diorama was something I discussed with Ron5864 a while back... it's funny that I find out that I'm not the only one that dreams about it... but back to the toy in question... Yamato's customers are made up of people that buy the same toy over and over, and puts them in displays across their rooms, builds dioramas around them, buys multiple shelves with glass covers and lights... They expect us to buy repaints of those same toys and pay out the ass for "weathered variants" (with lackluster weathering I might add...) Thanks for thinking about our wallets... what's that? You want is to pay $200 plus shipping on a Max TV-1A? Sure thing Yamato... I got TWO kidneys... it's good to know you have our financial stability in mind... What's going to stop us from buying one toy that takes up less space than three 1/48s? At least we only have to buy it once!!! $550 on ONE TOY? Hell yeah! That's a bargain... They've realeased how many 1/60 VF-1s alone this year? and how much space does that take up? Yamato should have thought about space and financial worries BEFORE they got into the business of making valkyries. They didn't care about space when they designed those god awful 1/48 boxes... I can just imagine some poor Yamato executive in a small apartment asking himself "What have I done???" while being buried in boxes.

there's a huge difference between anime accurate and lineart accurate. Because the anime is all over the place. I'd say it's a tie between the 1/48 and the v.2 1/60. The v.2 got it right where the 1/48 couldnt but head placement, the leg sculpt and the shape of the cockpit is pretty good on the 1/48. I'd go for the 1/60 for overall because of the thrusters and the upcoming GBP will probably be more lineart accurate with it. As for battroid by itself... probably the GNU, but who cares about those, it's all about transformations. And I do agree. I could have settle for a better removable leg transformation with the 1/48. It probably would have allowed for the arms to go up more in fighter mode. As long as it's not the same engineering as the original 1/60s... YUCK!

The series finished before you did Cobywan! haha... looks awesome though.
-
dont think there were lights involved... That's a good point thogh, they can make a smaller one later. make use of a good mold now. I would buy a second one if they came out with an SDF version. I say have Yamato make a GNU for the people that want a smaller one.

Just as a reminder. If you don't want to get stuck with a size that is not yours let me know soon. And for anyone that wants it shipped PM me also. Next week is the last week and then I will be getting these made. I'll take some to the con but they sell out pretty fast and a lot of people end up asking... "Hey where'd you get that shirt?" Also, I'm trying to find out what the smallest size we can get these at, stay tune for that.
