I'm glad it ended up with the gun battle. I was afraid that the thing was gonna be a social statement for aliens, guess what? There's no such things... if the aliens were bad guys and they shot them all up, I would have been happy too. The fact that they injected a story into it made it better than the standard over budgeted blockbuster but I definitely wanted an action film not a mock plea for the humane treatment of prawns. I actually don't think it's the greatest thing since "sliced bread" the movie, I think it suffers from a lot of plot holes but its definitely a good watch.

Oh whooops... my bad. That is 1/48. Didn't even look at the scale. Thought the line was dead. You can tel by the second small tiny fin behind the cockpit that recesses into the hump that it's 1/48.

I'm just gonna watch it in case Segal gets shot... not that they're gonna show that. Segal has a tight lid on what and what doesn't get aired for sure....

it's not as shakey as cloverfield. Its closer to "The Office" type of camera handheld. Doesn't the main guy remind anyone of Murray from Flight Of the Conchords?

There was a lot of stress marks concern with MP SS when it came out. Mine broke... but yeah it was kinda cheap that I didn't whine about it. I havent had major breakage issues with Yamato, but I read all the horror stories.

If you don't like it, stay out and stop reading it. Look at how many "members" sign up just to argue robotech. We can ban people that do that but they'll just sign up under a new name. yes. Though I liked the ending I found it very abrupt. And I thought that the reveal of the final five was too soon and too much of a blow all your wad at once type thing, just to get to the ending. Believe or not I kinda like the anticipation between seasons.

I for one wished that the Battlestar series lasted for a longer time than it did. It just seems like it would take generations to find earth and not as quickly as they did. Usually I want a show to end because the plots get too ridiculous but I would have been willing to make an exception for BSG... Only because now we don't have a series that brings us awesome space battles almost every week. I'm not gonna say anything about this new movie, I talked a lot of crap before seeing the series. But I'm not a big Brian Singer fan.

The YF-19 is an ugly floppy mess of a toy... you spend 20 minutes trying to make sure all the tabs are secured or else the whole thing just falls apart... not one of Yamato's best.

I don't think so... as far as merchandising rights they can make products such as Popbox's DYRL figures and the 1/100 Macross Valk line but they can't even use the designs in SDF:M to put in Shadow Chronicles. IMO HG and Toynami are just exercising their rights as licensed by Tatsanuko because as licensing goes... it's use it or lose it.

I'm pretty sure its just a POS toy with no redeeming qualities other than being cheap. If you watch the video, the reviewer actually does go thru the trouble of locking the backpack and clearly explains how to do it. But the figure topples over backwards because the weight was too much for the knees. Is it fair for the reviewer to toss the parts around like they were junk? YES! It shows how frustrating the damn thing is. That's what I call an honest review. Usually I take great care of my toys no matter how cheap they are if I like them but if it's a piece of crap, it gets treated like a POS! I bought a bunch of these from a member here for cheap... I mean rockbottom prices and I thought I was getting a good deal. After fiddling around with it and observing all the way out scale inconsistencies of the parts I sold it to someone else for even less. I understand having some parts a little bit bigger to compensate for anime magic, but the smallness of the legs and the oversized shoulders were just too much of an eyesore. And despite what you might hear or read... this things are not cheap, not for what you are really paying for.

I agree. I am only prejudiced against stupid people. The picture was uncalled for. vinnie I agree and thought the same thing when I saw the pic in that post and the post before.

I think we'd all be a lot happier than when we saw "James Cameron's Avatar"... but then again this is MW... how long does that happiness last?

True aliens? *Wraps foil around head* It's kinda sad because everyone and their Terminator mother has been waiting for a new Cameron film. A friend told me that the creatures look like ass in the movie and I refused to believe it. When I finally saw it, I was thinking... well it's looks more like a zebra than an ass but I see what you're saying. It's hard to believe that this is the guy that insisted so much on getting the look of the Alien Queen, the Sulaco and the drop ship so right that he ended up drawing them himself. It looks like he went to the dartboard for the approval process this time around. Everything else looks great to me and I'm hoping that the story will be good. But no matter how good the story is I can't help but think that we're finally gonna get what I hoped for back in 2001, a neat little CG feature by a video game maker.
